I'm beginning to think Calhoun is going to have to do a total reload. If some players nationwide are making it known what their intentions are in either staying put or entering the portal, what's prohibiting UC's players from doing the same? This lack of any info is disconcerting, even if the official start of portal movement is tomorrow

Utah State's top two returners, Mason Falslev (never publicly expressed intent to hit the portal) and Karson Templin, have both now re-upped with Utah State.

So if Calhoun brings a bunch of Utah State guys, they'll all be depth pieces. Add in the uncertainty of UC returnees, will definitely be a pretty big rebuild/reload.

A lot of big names have already been reported as portal bound. Should be a wild day tomorrow/series of days ahead -- especially if you root for a team with a new coach and the need to bring a ton of new guys!

i still think moving on from wes was the right move - at some point, uc needed to get off of his hampster wheel of medicority. even if we hae a rougher year or so, i think uc will be much better off in the long run.

I think we all had perhaps unrealistic expectations for Shon. As a McD AA we thought he should come in and be a star right away, when he scored 15 in the early scrimmage against Michigan I was convinced. But he was still a freshman, and the injury that kept him out of the meat of the season kept him from developing the way Tillery did. I still think he’ll be a great player, sorry to see him go.

when he got in that screaming match with WM on the sideline gave quite the clue.

Perhaps using the NIL money to pay for his special coach. It doesn't take much of an imagination to believe which coach he was listening too.
