2.4 BPM at Tulsa. Very high usage (29%) creator who attacks the basket. 31% assist rate and 61% free throw rate. Those numbers are almost identical to 2020 Jarron Cumberland. 5.5 rim attempts per game. Doesn't shoot much from distance but made 39%. This is the type of point guard I've been hoping for. Downsides are he isn't a good finisher, converting just 50% at the rim and 45% inside the arc (also identical to Cumberland), and he is turnover prone. May not be a good defender with a DBPM around zero. He was not one of the top 5 BPM players on Tulsa (a very good team this year that went to the NIT final and finished #60 on Torvik).

        • We apparently had a zoom call with Riley Allenspach from George Mason. 6'11" with a 5.0 BPM last year. High usage scorer and rebounder. Elite rim finisher at 73% and a 10% OReb rate. Not a good defender or rim protector. He played up to his competition, posting a 5.6 BPM in 8 top 100 games and 6.9 BPM in 2 top 50 games including a 17 pt 10 reb performance at VCU.

Hasn't this guy been around for 10 years? Seems like it!

            • no mumbo jumbo stats on it, but I think that he's trying to beat kerr krissa's "longevity" record.

              • Are we trying to retain any of our own players from this years team?

Guys I want to say I understand longtimefan's concern. He loves the Cats and is tired of losing. I am with him in that.

Feels like an eternity! Guys like Pop and Paul McMillan seem to never go away.

Covin posted a 2.3 BPM this year. Gets to the free throw line a lot and converts 87%. Can also get to the rim but not a good finisher. 36% from deep on nearly 5 per game. Pedestrian rebounding, assists, and turnover rates. Played up to competition with a 3.7 BPM in 13 top 50 games. Scored 32 against Syracuse with 7 threes, but was also shut out twice in ACC play. Could be a decent role player.

Duncomb posted an 8.1 BPM, one of the best marks in the portal. 6'10" center from Winthrop. High usage interior scorer and a monster on the glass. 15% OReb and 23% DReb. Gets to the free throw line more than 8 times per game and makes 75%. Decent passer for a big. Not a great defender and gets into foul trouble. His BPM plummeted to 1.1 in 6 top 100 games and negative in 3 top 50 games. But his rebounding numbers were just as good in those games while his shooting and turnovers suffered.

Likely so but those players are also in the portal to explore options. Based on CJC's comments at his introductory press conference, he is likely interested in retaining Tillery. And he has to be interested in retaining Thiam. Whether sufficient the financial resources exist is the question.

                            Those two seem logical.
