Arizona is not in our conference. If that’s the case then our entire team is over matched.

Lakhin with his best game as a Bearcat, by far.

Some hope for the future. Arizona the best passing team we’ve played against in a long long time, and everybody can score.

Outscored AZ in the second half. Josh Reed needs more PT.

Ballo and Tubelis were just too much in the paint... We play very hard tonight... Lakhin and Nolley had their best games of the year!

They burned us with some very good passing, took us off the dribble a few times, but that will happen against good teams. What was mind boggling was how well they shot the ball even when contested. Equally mind boggling was how well we shot the ball to hang with them. A very good showing for the Bearcats overall. Hopefully a great learning and growing experience for the team. If they come back from this with a couple wins it will be a huge success. If this effort doesn't bear fruit tomorrow than its just another loss and wasted opportunity. Lets hope this game turns the corner for us.

Man there is a lot of knee jerk reactions on this site as play by play the guys get tarred and feathered over every mistake. I think many are being way too harsh and overreactive. At least step back and look at the big picture of the full game and season sample size before we judge, good and bad.
This was Arizona guys, not Joe Bag of Donuts University! Of course they had better players than us. But if you look at this overall effort and still complain about us not meeting Micks standards for grit and effort, then your memory is very selective and fading. I know most of us on here are old farts, but c'mon lets be fair and honest with our recollections of Micks teams deficiencies and how we used to pull our hair out in frustration.
This team and staff is doing all they can to win and restore tradition. At this point we laid 1 egg at NKy. Lets hang in there and see how things play out before we draw conclusions and write guys off.

                            Justin Williams:

Final in Maui: Arizona 101, Cincinnati 93.
                            2nd Half: Cincinnati 63, Arizona 61.

                            What a wild, weird-*** game.

Landers Nolley II with 33 pts on 12-18 FG, 9-14 3FG for the #Bearcats, a ridiculous stat line that will be lost to an 8-point defeat.

UC vs Ohio St at 5 pm ET Tues.

Arizona shot 23 for 29 from the field in the 2h, bettering Cincinnati's 22 for 35. Wildcats dominated inside with a 52-26 advantage in the paint, 36-29 on the glass.

Five days after scoring 11 pts in the 2nd half vs NKU, the #Bearcats score 63 after the break and still lose.

                            UC:
                            -Nolley 33 pts (9-14 3FG)
                            -Lakhin 17/5
                            -Adams-Woods 11 pts (3-6 3FG)

                            Zona:
                            -Tubelis 30/11 (12-18 FG)
                            -Ballo 21/10 (8-11 FG)
                            -Ramey 17 pts (3-5 3FG)

                            UC: 47/50/67, 17-34 3FG
                            Zona: 62/53/68

Ezipke was in during the first half - missed shots and shoddy defense - CWM yanked him. Turning point in the game. He was in for VIK in the second - missed shots and no defense - Quicker yank by CWM and the lead was too much to overcome. CWM had to use a tired Ody instead. Ezipke was a major reason for the loss.
