Lost the game at the beginning when they did the sleepwalk and fell behind 13-1. Give CWM credit for how they competed. We really need more depth at the 4-5.
I appreciate the effort in the 2nd half and would hope it would carry over to the next game but it probably won't. I think CWM gets out coached all too often.
Lahkin has shown great improvement. Others are all learning to play together. Problem is when you play team defense, all 5 players have to play as a team.JD is terrible, the most selfish player when on the floor. He doesn’t know how to guard or play help defense. These are skills he should have learned in HS. Why CWM doesn’t recognize this is unbelievable.
Much happier with how they played the 2nd half.
Vic played his *** off & was moved to tears after
the game. Ody & Hensley (esp Ody) also played
hard & pretty well. DDJ & Nolley played great the
2nd half but not sure where they were the 1st.
Didnt seem engaged .
JD- well….. wow.

In the postgame CWM said he liked the lineup with Vik and Ody on the floor at the same time, but it’s a problem when he has to get them out. Neither guy can play 40 minutes. He acknowledged that JD faced some bad matchups on D.
The T was intentional. Whether down 1 or 3 at the end doesn’t matter. Gave them a chance to set up a play to Jack a 3. One of the few smart things Wes did today.

CWM discussed that in his postgame comments. He went to Joe Lindsey, the lead official, and told him he intended to call a timeout that he didn't have, if X missed the second FT. He set up the final play, but Nunge just smothered it.
The second half was extremely promising. The Cats never quit, even after the X 8-0 run to rebuild the 11-point deficit at the under 4:00 media TO. DDJ put the team on his back. They just ran out of time.
