A couple of guys tonight making the same mistakes they’ve been making for 4 years. We know who they are.

Exactly! The two Biggest problems we've had the last 4yrs... Both have started almost every game since their Soph Season, and the record speaks for itself... Along with the TERRIBLE Defense this TEAM continues to play...

I know there was a lot of bragging on one this week, but I saw nothing to brag on at the end of the game. Was he frustrated? Was he trying to get his team going. It was embarrassing seeing two had to contain him when he left the floor Honestly I would have done the same. It was a tight game and there was some touching. I did notice, at least on the radio, CWM didn't mention it. I guess sums up the season as well.

Every Coach has a melt down at one time or another.... I'm not that concerned about that, I actually like the passion displayed... I just want to move past this season, and a couple of the players as well... I will be livid if he lets either one come back next Season.....

CWM should have had a melt down. Even without VIC and Rob 50 plus in one half, even on the road is absolute excrement. CWM should have a melt down on the play of Reed. He should have gotten better but he is learning from our senior shot selectors and rim defenders. Transfer portal must be big for the Cats. I don't buy he is just a frosh anymore as he has digressed. I have seen nothing the last few games.0 did Reed play a lot due to his absence lately and fear of a transfer?

one more rant. There has been no inside defense since Chuck Machock got ill. We all knew he was an unofficial but very vital coach. He worked with the bigs for years.

Not optimal. I do think we should be better than a mid-tier AAC team though. Not sure where the problem lies. It's like throwing darts. But the end of game management has been concerning. 3 guys beat us. Cook, Cross and Forbes combined for like 78 points. I always feel, when watching us anyway, that we DO have a game plan...but we ride it for all 40 minutes. Whereas some teams make adjustments at the half. I've yet to be convinced that we make any kind of adjustments.

If the players are on hitting 3's and playing decent defense we have a chance to win. If it's close they completely go off the rails most times at the end of the game. I've yet to see a game where I thought Miller did anything strategic that positively affected the game at crunch time. We've seen too many stupid mistakes at the end of games and there seems to be no consequences. You can't win that way.

Well I guess we know who put money into their media dept and who didn't in this conference. That was infuriating to watch in general made worse by whatever the heck that broadcast was.

I'd like to give a special shoutout to Rob Phinisee, who suffered a # of bumps and bruises at Indiana and has suffered a cruel fate at UC with a several week injury and now a likely season-ending (career-ending) injury last night.

His play was often frustrating at IU and never developed into the player that IU fans thought he'd become (or the recruiting gurus who had him as a low 4-star recruit). But the vast majority of IU fans and media members were huge fans of his because he seems like a great kid and teammate. And I was eager to see how he might fit in at UC -- it really felt like he was starting to play a key role/become an asset these last couple games.

This from Justin Williams: "For what is feared to be a really sad moment, it's been heart-warming to read all of the Indiana fans and media responding to this news with genuine disappointment and well-wishes for Rob Phinisee. Says a lot about the kid."

When it was determined to eject DDJ and the Tulane player, the crowd started chanting air ball again, then I'm not sure but I think it was Cook, started running his mouth at DDJ again. The refs were still making both benches aware of what was going on and were unaware of this. That's why it took two to escort him.

Then you had Tulane's coach fanning the flames by coaxing the fans to make noise and celebrating with his players as this was all going down and the refs still sorting things out.
I believe that's what got CWM T'd up because the jawing continued after play continued, then Tulane pointed out the Nolley was out of bounds, play stopped so they could look at the monitor. CWM was upset that a Tulane player was officiating the game and not the refs. He had every right to dispute that. We fell apart last night no doubt but when Tulane realized that we're getting back in it several green green wavers became belligerent.

There was a play earlier when MAW got tied up, a jump was called going Tulane's way and as everybody was still knotted up both Tulane players started in on the jawing.

I've never seen a coach being jubilant with his players, egging the crowd on while the refs are sorting out the chaos due from a scuffle involving two players. Usually they are on the sidelines with the players discussing strategy or calming emotions of players. I hate to diss anybody but I thought Ron Hunter showed a lack of respect and decorum . With that I'm done with this post.

The losses are piling up for this team. In all of UC's last four games they had double digit leads in the second half (Houston, Tulsa, UCF, and Tulane). Excluding Tulsa, UC lost the lead in every game. UC was up by 6 with about 2:50 left last night at Tulane and lost. What is it with this team? They DO NOT know when to slow it down and run clock. This is one of the oldest and most reliable ways to secure a win. There are too many guys on this team that suffer from always wanting to hit the big shot. However, many of those shots often lead to run outs and scores for the other team. Let's face it. This team DOES NOT understand how to win close games. The coaching staff is just as puzzling because they allow it to happen over and over again. Here is the scary part. This may be Miller's best scoring and most experienced team for a while. DeJulius is gone next year and Nolley will probably opt out to pursue a pro career. Nolley has been in college a long time. In all honesty, it's time for him to move on. The NBA is very particular about the age of guards coming into the league. For the NBA, the younger the better. Nolley is 24 years old. If he is going pro, he has to make his move now. Where is the scoring going to come from next year: Skillings; Reed? Let's be truthful here, Skillings is probably the worst or one of the worst defenders that UC has ever recruited. He may get better, but that may take another two years for him. Reed is also very underdeveloped. There are going to be a lot of very young guys on the team next year. You cannot count on freshman to lead the team next year.

Despite UC's woes for this year, they still have a chance to win 20 or more games this season. Maybe, just maybe, with 20 wins, an NIT invitation may come. The bigger problem is Miller. His defensive schemes and constructs are not effective enough to beat more competitive teams. Miller has a long track record of losing big games or games that really matter. He has only won two of those types of games since last season (Illinois and UCF (this season)). He will get three more chances this season to get some good wins (UCF and Memphis away; and Temple at home). Every remaining game is big. However, those three games are games where Miler gets a chance to prove himself again. We will see.

Rufus as I said , in my youth I actually did the same fighting. It was immature and cost my team and me. I still don't know how I would handle it at my age, but I believe with all lot more control.

We all have Leo as youths sometime. But that kind of behavior coming from a person who is supposed to be an example of maturity, at that point in the game with that particular set of circumstances, I just think Hunters behavior was juvenile. I hope we never have to see them again.

Yeah he was rubbing it in but maybe he didn't the support of the students for his job. He does seem to be secure though
