This loss is on the staff. It was obvious that OK St dragging our bigs out to the perimeter with a small lineup was working, and we did nothing to stop it until the final minute. It's something I found in my quick scouting reports using free online sites like Torvik. Did the staff really not have a plan for the small lineup? We can't give up 80 points at home to the worst team in the conference.

How did that work out? Jizzle got the crowd into the game. He came in when we were down 4, and left at the 8:12 mark we were up 1. We lost by four. Jizzle was the best player on the court when Wes subbed him out.Originally posted by Gmann View PostJizzle is great on offense but DayDay is much better on D.

Glaring mistake made by Wes, subbing Thomas for James. Yeah, Thomas is a little better defensively, but when your down? Don't you need points?
James also energized the crowd! Here's a thought? Put both of them in the last 2 mins of a CRUCIAL GAME!!!!!

Day Day was 3-9 shooting, Jizzle 5-7. Wes took out the hot shooter, again.Originally posted by BearKatz View PostGlaring mistake made by Wes, subbing Thomas for James. Yeah, Thomas is a little better defensively, but when your down? Don't you need points?

Let's face it. This team and Miller's leadership and strategy has far more weaknesses than this one situation. Again I love Jizzle on offense but Small just took him right to the basket on the other side and got it back. I still feel this team has far more talent than it demonstrates. That's on the coaching staff.Originally posted by longtimefan View Post

Nelson put it well on postgame. You lost to a team of freshmen at home who had no road wins in conference. Completely unacceptable!

Now you understand what I have been saying about Aziz. He fouled Keller (I believe) at the three-point line and gave up a three to Dailey all within the last few minutes of the game. Those shots made the difference in the game down the stretch. You are correct, Miller should have had Oguama or Reed on Dailey.Originally posted by sedz View PostAziz simply can't guard the perimeter. And if we're not going to find him in the post against a small defender, he shouldn't be in the game. We should have Ody or Reed at the 5 when Dailey is out there.
