We allowed 0.84 points per possession, a great defensive performance. We generally did not double team and forced Bradley to beat us with contested jump shots. Bradley shot under 42% effective field goals, rebounded only 18% of their misses, and only attempted 7 free throws. That was some of the best defense we've played all year.
The offense was decent, as we scored 1.09 points per possession, just a bit above the national average. We shot it well from the field and took care of the ball, but only rebounded 24% of our misses.
The player of the game was Jizzle with 4.8 net points and a 10.6 box plus minus. Jizzle was on fire from midrange, hitting 6 of 7. He's showing signs of becoming a true three level scorer, which this team sorely needs. Only 1 assist in 38 minutes isn't great (7% assist rate) but he only turned over once. The best player in his time on the floor was Simas, edging out Jizzle with a 10.9 box plus minus in his 33 minutes. Simas scored 17 points on 16 shots and added 3 assists, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover. Aziz had the best defensive performance. He completely shut down Bradley's best player, holding him to 2 points with zero rim attempts. Solid games from Skillings and Newman too. Jamille was the only player with negative net points, confirming what everyone saw with their eyes.

Personally I think it's a bit more complicated than just that but it is a problem.Brent Wyrick

While at the game, I mentioned to my wife that Bradley's bigs out played our bigs. I was also thankful that down the stretch, the team did not show a repeat of Wednesday night. by letting down and doing stupid things. James had a great game. Simas looked like he did not have the legs towards the end which made his shots short but he did put in big minutes the last few games.
