He played at Hamilton High not Badin but yes he's from Hawaii. I don't remember the entire story on how he and his family ended up in Hamilton.

As far as negative recruiting tactics go it exists but it's not anywhere close to football from a local players standpoint. Basketball recruiting is much more geographically spread out.

We are in the middle of a one week "dead period" that runs through tomorrow. After that, expect kids to start taking visits and a lot more portal activity across the country. It's way too early to get worried (and Sage entering the portal does not affect things -- was just a number/body who wasn't playing even before Aziz and Jamille got cleared).

I saw an random internet poster say he was staying because of some NIL contract he just signed but I think that that person is mistaken on the NIL front. I can't find anything he's posted lately about much of anything except a promo he did on Twitter for Cincy Reigns and the New Heights Podcast Show.

I know a couple of months ago he said he plans to return. I just hope our medical staff can get him healthy. A healthy CJ would be huge.

Not trying to be snarky, but is there such a thing as a healthy CJ Frederick? At least in the last 3- 4 years? That’s a risky move when we need shooters so badly.
