Really enjoyed listening to Thiam speak. Very intelligent and personable young man. Excited to see him take the court.

what will be his responsibilities. They seem to be giving CWM all the help. Maybe this is the year.

Good question and very good observation. I am thinking the same thing about the administration. Its actions suggests that it really wants to keep Miller, and it seems to be doing everything it can to increase the chances of his success. Think about this for a second; UC is bringing in 3 new basketball personnel that all have NBA experience. Think about that. Check out the new basketball personnel and the NBA experience: Kelly Peters, Special Assistant to the Head Coach (Golden State and Philadelphia); Mamadou N'Diaye, Assistant Coach (big men) (Toronto, Dallas, Atlanta, and LA Clippers), and Corey Evans (Oklahoma City).

Here is the funny part. With all of these new resources injected into the program, there is no guarantee of success. These new personnel should bring into the program some new more advanced practices that may be the difference. In the pursuit of success, it is the small details that makes the difference between wins and losses.

Gotta run. I got some chicken in the oven that I need to check. Not trying to burn the house down.

                  Go Bearcats.

I think the biggest benefit of bringing personnel with NBA experience is they know how to handle player egos when they first come into a lot of money. The trick in the NBA isn't some magical practice or fitness routine, it is honing the desire in oneself to work harder in practice than the other guy. The NBA guys will do more with off-court activities, so the players are focused to work hard in practice and hustle in games.
