Huge grain of salt here too. NetRtg is the production we need to replace. It's BPM weighted by minutes played.
    OUTGOING BPM %min NetRtg
    Mitchell 6.8 70.2 4.8
    Skillings 5.8 47.2 2.7
    Reed 3.1 41.5 1.3
    Page 1.2 20.0 0.2
    Betsey -1.2 27.2 -0.3
    Hickman -2.5 18.4 -0.5
    Griffith -3.5 7.7 -0.3
    INCOMING BPM %min NetRtg
    Thiam 3.1 64.9 2.0
    Harris 2.7 66.1 1.8
    Haynes 2.8 62.8 1.8
    Celestine 1.9 54.8 1.0
    Kriisa 3.3 10.9 0.4
We lost a total of 8.0 to the transfer portal and we currently have 7.0 incoming. Of course this doesn't attempt to predict player progression, regression, or change in minutes. We lost another 4.9 to graduation and we return 4.7. Add those up and our total NetRtg last year was 17.6. Incoming plus returning is 11.7. Maybe we get 3.0 from freshmen, bringing the total to 14.7. We need to be at least 20 for an at large bid. That would mean about 1 BPM progression on average per position. Seems doable.

Jeff Borzello: Today is the final day of the transfer window for men’s basketball, meaning all players that want to transfer need to file their paperwork by midnight. The NCAA aligned the undergraduate and graduate dates last year, so the lone exceptions are those with coaching changes.

    Is UC recruiting Durugordon?

Jermaine Sanders was very good on defense. You are right. Sanders was primarily a three-point shooter on offense. No slashing and did not get to the free throw line much. Very under rated on defense.

    @JonRothsein:

NCAA members will not discuss whether or not players will receive five years of eligibility moving forward via legislation until after a final decision on the House Settlement has been made, per an NCAA official.

Elite slasher with a 4.0 BPM. Gets to the rim and FT line 6 times each per game. I'd love to have him but somebody would be bumped off a guard rotation spot.

The Portal is an exploration. Scholarships are renewable annually, and the coach may have told a couple players they're welcome to test the market, but you're also welcome back. We don't know every situation and there are players like Rayvon and Betsey in the portal that I hope come back to UC. One of the issues I have with the portal is that players are still in classes, and I encourage them to stay in class during the process. Who cares if they use our facilities and hang out with our players? It may be a good thing in the end.

Matt Zenitz, CBS/247sports.com recruiting analyst, just reported the Moustapha Thiam has, indeed, signed with UC.

    Keegan Knickoson of bearcatjournal.com confirmed.

Celestine is a low usage floor spacer. He had the highest three point rate on Baylor (attempted a three every 9 possessions), but he only got to the rim 16 times all season. Not a creator, slasher, or rebounder. He had an OReb rate under 5% last year and under 4% for his career. Those are shooting guard numbers, but I imagine he would be playing a lot at the 4 for us. He doesn't turn the ball over, with a TO rate under 11%.
