Old friend A.J. McGinnis has gone portaling. After going for 13.2 ppg at Lipscomb two seasons ago, he averaged 3.8 at Wichita State. He might have one year left...?

Ugonna Onyensu in the portal from KState. There's a rim protector. He could be a good value. Metrics say he's highly productive (4.9+ BPM all three years) but he's not getting playing time for some reason.

He's on the Verbal Commits list and Torvik's list.

UC could really use these guys. I hope that they return.
Mitchell hasn't committed yet as far as I know. Griffith's contacts were listed here last week. Betsey doesn't have an agent I think, so no one to leak contacts. Not sure about Reed but any coach that values analytics will like his defense. Things are happening even if the public doesn't hear about it.

Even more interesting: Mitchell has not committed

Everyone didn't stay last year. Lakhin, Reynolds, and Tolentino left.

More and more players are entering the portal each year across the league. The NCAAs attempts to limits transfers were struck down in court. I think that's the only real difference. Every player can shop around for money or minutes.

    Good question. I wonder too!

Wooster, OH native averaged over 14 ppg this year in his first year in D1. The 6’5 junior spent his first two seasons at D2 Notre Dame (OH).

Milicevic followed Pitino from New Mexico. N'Diaye came from familiar Mountain West opponent UNLV. They had promising freshman seasons but I'm not surprised either of them picked X. Borovicanin also followed from New Mexico. Malik Moore, All Wright, and Lassina Traore are ok. Gabriel Pozzato is underwhelming. The big splash is Tre Carroll, who had a 6.5 BPM last year.

X is moving fast but not reeling in any big catches aside from Carroll.

6'11 junior Yohan Traore of France in the portal. A former UC target.

    22-23: 2.1 ppg at Auburn
    23-24: 14.5 ppg at UCSB
    24-25: 6.1 ppg at SMU

They've gotten about 8 commits in the last week plus (though at least 2 were prior New Mexico players). On some level, I wonder if they are moving too quickly trying to fill up spots and not necessarily figuring out the best fits. Michigan--who made the Sweet 16 this year--got the core of their team last year in late April (and the portal was open a week earlier). Their top four scorers committed between April 20 and April 29.
