Haynes shoots a lot, putting up 10 shots from the field and more than 5 free throws in only 25 minutes per game. And he's efficient at 55% effective field goals, with more than half of them unassisted. We were sorely missing someone who could create his own shot inside this year. And I think he could reduce his TO rate if he wasn't trying to force things too much with a lower usage rate. If he did that I can see him being a 4+ BPM player. He did post a 4.0 BPM in 9 top 100 games. I like this guy. He might not be a star in the B12 but I think he could be a good rotation player who can give us some much needed offense in the post.

38 attempts in 65 games. Not really much to worry about.

Haynes put up a 19.4 BPM on 18 points with 7 rebounds at Duke this year. He can play.

          • Chad Brendel said he did some snooping around and found that UC basketball's $ pool is more like $7.5M than the $6M or so that he had earlier estimated.

He averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks a year ago at Samford. He played in 7 games this year for Kansas State (7.3 ppg) before leaving the team for personal reasons. Maybe one year left?

Here is what sedz said about him last year:
Miller should go after this guy. UC may be able to get him without putting forth a lot of funds. UC can use a guy like this.

It appears that Mitchell wants to play for a proven winner. Cannot blame the guy.

If UC can pull him in, he may be able to move into the starting 5-spot.

Yeah. Houston had 2 guys to play in the Mickey Ds All-American game (2025).

                        My fault...not official.

While I have a few less years in, I am nearing this same take. It has very little to do with winning & losing (although I have zero faith in either Satterfield or Miller), but more a blinding cash grab without a cap and zero commitment to anything but the dollar. It'll be interesting to follow these athletes and see where they are in 10 years. I don't think a lot of them are moving on to the NBA but will have a not yet developed self cradled by cash during fertile, formative years.....what happens when the cash runs out? It's sort of a sad state of human condition. A lot of development happens between 18-25 yet in the human brain. This money is unstructured for the most part, it's "whatever it takes." Anyways, enough esoteric mumbo jumbo......

Saw on twitter, but double-checked and it's a burner. Hasn't happened as of now.

                              • We've contacted Jadrian Tracey, 6'5 senior wing from Oregon. Posted a 4.4 BPM this year as a glue guy. He's an efficient low volume scorer and good defender without any major strengths or weaknesses. Just a solid all around game. Maybe a John Newman type.
