Per Rocco Miller, UC will play Georgia at the State Farm Center in Atlanta on December 13.

UGA was an NCAA 9 seed a year ago. Solid game, likely Q1 opportunity.

UGA's roster includes former UC recruit Somto Cyril (4.6 and 3.8 as a freshman), a 5'11 transfer who goes by Smurf and could be guarded by Jizzle, BYU transfer Kanon Catchings who is from Indiana, former recruit Jake Wilkins (Dominique's son). A good test for Dan Hoard -- 7 players whose names start with the letter J. ... Chad Dollar came to UC from Georgia.

    Home versus Dayton
    Away versus Xavier
    Neutral versus Louisville
    Neutral versus Georgia
    TBD versus possibly Clemson
(Not bad considering the rest will surely be buy games)

Also, as to swilsonsp4 post above, here are some possible teams based on Torvik's current ratings: 29 Missouri, 31 Oklahoma, 33 Georgia, 36 Texas, 37 Texas A&M, 40 Mississippi State. ... I certainly don't think it would be Sean Miller and Texas. Probably not Oklahoma if I had to guess. Mississippi State feels right...
Chad insinuated that the "other" Power 4 team was an ACC team (and that it wasn't Duke).

Clemson seems like a great guess. Final Bart Torvik T-Rank of #27 last year. Currently projected for #53.

I don't think any other ACC team fits the bill for what he described.

While I agree that it's unlikely that TX would be the team, it may not have anything to do with Sean Miller. Who knows? Maybe the two Millers actually get along. Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler hung around together (close friends), so anything is possible.

The companies operating MTE's aren't exactly thrilled with the deregulation, as the new rules would eliminate the requirement that teams participate in MTE's to reach the current 31-game limit. (Otherwise, they may play only up to 28.)

Looks like UC will play Eastern Michigan and/or NJIT per Jeff Goodman, in conjunction with the Louisville game. This is an MTE, so once again no early season tournament for the Bearcats.

For what it is worth, EMU finished 16-16 and in 6th place in the MAC last year (yet #277 in KenPom), while NJIT went 6-25 and finished last in the America East (#353).

EMU is coached by Stan Heath (USF 2007-2014).

I have said it here before but it bears repeating: He was a projected leader for this team and his lackadaisical demeanor was a cancer that had to go..He's probably a fine young man but he obviously doesn't get it.

We already did last year due to his wretched performance. The body part which caused his lack of effort was his heart.

    * Dan Skillings at UC alert
(Bearcat Bunch on Twitter points out that Thiam will play at UCF, Harris will play at WVU, Kriisa will play at Arizona, WVU)
Maybe DS thinks he’ll get a nice reception, not from me. I hope we boo him out of the gym.

Taking a look at Dayton's projected starting line-up:

    C - 7'1 Amael L'Etang (2nd year) - 7.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg over 16.8 mpg (5.8 BPM) ...scored 2 points with 4 rebounds in 12 min against UC last season
PF - 6'8 Jacob Conner (4th year) - 2.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg over 12.1 mpg (-2.3 BPM) ...played 1 minute and committed 1 turnover against UC last season
    SF - 6'5 De'Shayne Montgomery (3rd year transfer from Georgia) - 6.5 ppg, 2.1 rpg over 15.5 mpg (2.0 BPM)
SG - 5'11 Javon Bennett (4th year) - 11.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.1 apg over 31 mpg (4.0 BPM) ...scored 4 points on 1-6 shooting in 20 min against UC last season
    PG - 6'3 Adam Nije (2nd year transfer from Iona) - 12.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.2 apg over 29.3 mpg (-2.5 BPM)

The 4 spot looks like it will be the most "up for grabs" but the other positions look like fairly safe bets.
