Chad Brendel gave a couple hints that UC will play an SEC team that Bart Torvik projects to be in the Top 40. That includes 13 of the 16 SEC schools (excluding LSU, MS, SC). The game will occur at an unnamed neutral site.

Maybe said it before in this very thread, but gone are generally the days where a coach on the hot seat (or trying to start off easy with a roster overhaul) can just schedule light and think they can make the Tournament by just stacking up wins in November/December and being okay in conference play. UC will be best served headed into Big 12 play with some actual tests and the fans will appreciate a better slate.
Since UC must fill 13 OOC slots, there still likely will be a couple low majors (MEAC/SWAC/NEC, e.g.) on the schedule. XU, UD, UofL, neutral P4, & one or two Q1/Q2 opponents (per Brendel) would make 5 or 6, leaving another 7-8 to fill. That doesn't mean they all would be Q4, but there likely will be some.

Per Jon Rothstein, Houston will play UC twice. (Also, per JR, UC will not face Arizona, Kansas or BYU twice per his tweets about those teams' Big 12 double plays).
Houston, WVU, and UCF would make the most sense as double plays based on history/geography.

On the B12 stream via TuneIn, the conference announced that the 2025-26 scheduling matchup matrix will be released this Thursday. I don't know the time. This is about two weeks earlier than last season. In the prior two seasons, the B12 announced the game dates in late September.

It seems like collegiate sports are becoming an alternate professional league whose main appeal is to gamblers.

stand corrected. He was drunk perhaps. I thought about a Friday Night game at X and the crowd will be rowdy.
