Yeah, I am with you on this one. Even if UC has a losing record this season, let's lose with dignity and respect for the effort that the players and the coaches put into the program. Remember, we all want to win. That includes the players and coaches too.

Even Nick the Quick (Van Exel) came out in opposition to the bag idea.

I think wearing a paperbag over your head, and I think of football. As others mentioned above, it's poor tatste, classless etc!

I have a feeling the University eys's are now wide open and this will be Wes's last year as coach. As I said previously if we end up with 9 or 10 wins this season, Wes will be fired.

Yeah. The only mention of UC here was in reference to being beaten by UCF. Tied for last place with Utah. Both are 8-8 and 0-3.

If you want to show your dissatisfaction, just stay home.
the flip side is that, maybe, prospective "student athletes" might think, these guys are serious. If I come here, I better be ready to go at it, and not just come to collect a check. or, damn, these guys really want to win. I don't have any mumbo jumbo on it, but I don't think that caring and wanting / expecting results, is necessarily a bad thing. Especially now, when we're all being tapped like crazy for more $$$$ - people expect some ROI

I'm as unhappy with the current coach as anyone but I also would not "bag it" at tomorrow's game. I think the administration knows the level of frustration and it's getting enough attention nationally as it is. Assuming a miracle doesn't happen the rest of the year a change has to happen for there to be any chance of big NIL $$'s being available. No way big donor's continue to support the status quo.

I agree with the two previous posts. Don't do it. It does look petty and gives off a bad look. However, I am in my 60's and what an 18-year-old will do is anyone's guess. I suspect that the students will. I remember going to games at the Coliseum and even the Gardens and do not remember anything like that.

Re: bags....I can see both sides of this. On the one hand it looks petty. On the other hand I was dissatisfied last year. This year I am p******d. I am in favor of termination now. We are going to pay him the rest of this year anyway whether he is here or not. I would rather get the jump on next year.

I'm sadly at a loss. I love UC but have become somewhat disinterested in the basketball team. It has been my first love since I was 5. I'm now 42 and I get the sense that the fans care more than the administration (I could be very off here). I also get the sinking feeling that Wes Miller will be back next season (Hope I'm very wrong here.) I just never thought I'd see the day when Cincinnati Basketball became a roll over and die program. Yet here we are.

Ray Callahan was the coach. With an easy schedule we won two games. Usually the team record was a bit under .500. The better memories I have are from the 2000s on. It is hard to believe that the style of play has gone down so badly. In BB I remember watching OSCAR and the Cats winning it all. We all remember the Huggs era. I have a had time seeing what is happening on the floor today. I really enjoyed the Catlett years too.I am hoping that history repeats itself after Badger and Yates we got a winner. Even in the bad times we had players I really liked - David Duarte Jelly Jones , Roger McClendon among many, but the teams were not great. Folks thought the page had turned but then Huggs. Even back in the Badger-Yates era the teams were not as bad as the Brennen - Miller era. I saw UC bounce back from bad teams in BB and FB. The Coaches had to go though and I believe that this is the only way for today. It is hard to accept less then mediocre play when we have seen greatness. The teams today are mediocre in FB and wretched in BB.
Like you, I go back to the Oscar days. I also liked the Catlett days with Cummings, Miller, Yoder and the rest. This current team and the last 5 years is really hard to watch.

This is not going to happen before March and then it will be a hefty payday for CWM.
