Butler has hired alum Ronald Nored (most recently an NBA assistant) who briefly mentioned / somewhat of a darkhorse candidate in UC's search 5 years ago https://butlersports.com/news/2026/3...l-program.aspx

LSU is set to re-hire Will Wade, who was terminated in 2022 based on major recruiting violation$ -- per reports

Wade crushed it at McNeese State, then went to NC State this year (lost in First Four)

.... Guess it should be noted that LSU coach Matt McMahon has not been announced as fired yet

Unsure if a UNC guy would be okay coaching at NC State (obviously it's not Duke), but makes you wonder if Wes Miller could have been a realistic candidate at NC State had he not taken the Charlotte gig. I mean, the way things work now, not like NC State couldn't try to poach him if they wanted him...

In think Wes has to rehabilitate his career and Charlotte is an ideal place to do that. Whether he will or not remains to be determined. But he unfortunately did not prove he could coach at the P4 level at UC. If he does well at Charlotte, he will get some looks from P4 schools in the future.

watched part of his intro. He looked tired and perhaps defeated, He did not show the energy or confidence he had 5 years ago.

                        Nonetheless, he was "fired up!"

If he had excelled here, he’d be on his way to UNC right now. So either way we have a new coach for the coming season.

Will Wade slithers on his body. Didn't even provide the common courtesy of telling the NC State AD himself. His agent sent an e-mail.
