Yeah, they blew the budget on Dybantsa.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View Post
Richie Saunders was the Cougars' 2nd best player. A.J. Dybantsa is, by far, their best. He does things that few players at any level can do. What's missing is that Saunders was both a consistent scorer and the "glue guy". Important? Yes. Best? No. BYU's problem has been a severe lack of depth.

I have noticed that a few in tOSU are knocking their all time scoring leader for not scoring much yesterday. tOSU faced Jamie Dixon. We saw that he can take away players by great defensive strategy. In this day of high scoring, I'm totally convinced that is because their is less emphasis on defense. The fear I have with Calhoun is that he had to hire a good defensive coach . He has to do that if he comes to the Cats and he can't miss. That would be much worse than a brand new roster. I will give Calhoun the proper time and my hope he will return the Cats to greatness, but what if Dixon was available. I don't believe that so I hope for a great defensive mind coming with Calhoun. With both sides covered, I am encouraged. Once again, props to Dixon and there should never be anything thrown against Thornton in Columbus. The man stayed all four years including the coaching change.

USU still early - but switching defenses and active on the attack. Calhoun is coaching as the players come off the floor instead of staring or clapping. I will wait some more but so farLast edited by leo from jersey; 03-20-2026, 04:34 PM.

I'd take Elamin if he wants to follow Calhoun here. Initially thought he had a bit too much of the baby deer look, but he's showing some ability. He'd probably have to put on 20 lbs to play in the Big 12, but I think our training staff can manage that in the off-season.

Would be interesting to see if Rehfeldt is retained or if Calhoun or whomever is the new coach brings their own guy...Originally posted by zykarious View PostI'd take Elamin if he wants to follow Calhoun here. I'd assume Rehfeldt would stay, as long as the new coach wants him, he's familiar with the team and one of the best in the business. Hopefully Calhoun wants him to stick around.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post

Villanova getting way too many open looks from 3, 47% from three. Can't let that continue in the second half if USU is going to win.Originally posted by leo from jersey View PostVilla has gotten used to the pace and usu cold from outside. I do like the skinny 35 and the quickness and lack ofear. Calhoun has consulted 3 different coaches as fa as I can see. I like that

Alabama handled Hofstra easily. Halftime Miami (OH) getting smoked down 51-32 against Tennessee. Utah State down at the half by 2. Iowa State 108-74 against Tenn State. Arizona 92-58 against Long Island. Virginia 82 - 73 against Wright State (you would have thought that would be larger). Texas Tech 20 over Akron. Dang nab it, UK beat Santa Clara 89-84.
