Well, where do we go from here? Obviously The BE knows we want out and now we are suppose to act like everything is okay. I'm afraid B1G wont expand for at least a year. The only reason the B12 will expand is they are being pushed by ESPN.

At least that's what I'm telling myself...
You missed my point. It was indeed a preemptive strike to block the B12 from grabbing UL. I agree that UC and UConn and possibly USF will be in play once the carousel starts up again.

Well....Louisville BB history certainly didn't hurt them at all. I'm not going to blame Pitino. The ACC will be looking for more schools down the road as they are the most likely conference to get raided again by the SEC and B1G. It's a matter of time for UC and UConn and maybe USF. Louisville could become our greatest ally within the ACC now. The SN article lays it out that UL might have had options with the B12 and thats why they grabbed only them for NOW.

UL and RU are both now talking about playing in the ACC and B1G, respectively, by 2014. A lot has happened since 2010 and I think a lot will happen by 2014 with UC in the mix. We need to be patient and continue to support our school and teams. Unlike President Williams, I don't think President Ono is content to ride the sinking ship down.

My question is how will this news effect the new schools, primarily Boise, joining. This could be the straw that broke the camel's back for them.

I will be a fan of this team no matter what happens. However, it seems like playing one season in the "new" Big East (once the other schools leave for the ACC/B10) will kill whatever momentum we have built in regards to a fan base for football. Hopefully we aren't around long enough for that to happen...

Some of this is just circumstance and poor luck, but I am ticked off this morning, and want to know how much of this can be blamed on Greg Williams and his efforts to hold the crumbling Big East together.

Was he working to move us to a better situation at all? We may never know the answer to that question. I feel like UC got a very late start on looking out for it's future in conference play.

I have faith in our new Prez...he'll get UC into the ACC.

When Mick is holding that trophy in the Georgia Dome in a few months the ACC will be begging us to join!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It Sickens me how ESPN is such a manipulator of the conferences, they are already reporting that Louisville will be added to the ACC over Cincinnati. Someone at ESPN is either a Louisville alum or Xavier Alum, whatever the case they do not like UC.

A lot of "sources" on Twitter are saying UL will most likely get the invite. Hope they are wrong.
