Expansion is not guaranteed and Boren is ok to say it. This doesn't say Boren is against it or he doesn't think expansion is going to happen. This statement isn't news.

I think Ut and OU are using this exercise to look for a nicer home.
OU will find one, because they're nice folks
UT will not, because they're bullies.

Texas politics only work in Texas. Nowhere else

If the Big 12 doesn't expand after all this drawn out drama and crap, they will finally be exposed for the inept frauds that they are. Not that everyone doesn't know that already.
May UT die a slow and painful death, because this is all their doing.

Lest anyone forget, UC Football won the Big East 4 out of 5 years running at one point. We're the only ones who remember that, it seems.

I'm so tired of all this crap. Maybe the best idea would be to turn down an invite if we get one.

@McMurphyESPN 52s52 seconds ago OU president David Boren on Big 12 plans: "I wouldn't take expansion as a given. I wouldn't take it as a sure thing." @EricBaileyTW reports

Boy, no comments on Tubberville's press conference quote yesterday re: he thought expansion decision(s) had already been made? For a group that hangs on Dude and Flugar, et. al. that is about as juicy a comment as i've seen in a long time.

Don't count it out. At the rate things are going, the AAC(or whatever they call it then) will have a lot of it's current members and likely the fallout from either the existing b12 or possibly acc in the next 7 or 8 years if things keep up the way they are headed. The musical chairs are likely to continue in some fashion.

Then someone with a pen says that the AAC is worth saving.
The American Athletic Conference could've grown into a formidable conference (and may yet). Money is dictating this train and the AAC doesn't bring in enough to keep coaches paid at top levels, renovate facilities to recruit the best players, and renovate the stadiums to maximize corporate sponsorship and increased seating capacities. The networks are making money off the lower tier conferences because there's always a team or two that captures that magical Cinderella status and the networks have the tv rights at bottom dollar prices. The network dollars won't change in the next contract either. While the next contract should see a rise in revenue, it might see each team receiving almost as much as the Big East receives for basketball and that is still less than a tenth of what the Big 12 makes.

There is an interesting mix of old storied programs (Navy and to a lesser extent Houston/Cincinnati) and new stories being made (USF, UConn, UCF) and everything in between in the AAC. However, there's not enough there to state it is worth saving unless the money has a shot at becoming close to on par with the P-5 conferences. traditions are great reasons to keep Wake, Vandy, Northwestern and other traditional bottom dwellers until the Networks come to the conferences and offer more money to drop them and add the next wave. Personally, I see the GOR as the major reason conferences haven't forsaken each other in this fashion - the other being the traditional Bowl tie-ins.

I saw that and thought the same thing, though I also heard a week-ten days ago that BYU is revising the Honor Code and are putting the finishing touches on it for final approval.

Our two safeties left the game today. I sure hope that they can be back for Thursday.

Beat Houston Thursday, get to 3-0! I sincerely hope Ward Jr isn't badly hurt and can play against us. Hate to see college kids hurt even our opponents
