The presser today from the Big 12 meetings is supposed to begin at 6:30 ET. If they get stuck in a smoke filled room together it could always be longer.Leave a comment:

If true, this would be a horrible deal for ISU, and several others that won't find a soft landing spot. A better outcome would be lower pro rata, expand by at least two and say goodbye to marquee programs and P5 status. A best outcome would be lower or no pro rata, extend GOR and still say goodbye to P5 status.Leave a comment:

It may not matter. Credit Twitter :Jonz

Agreed, but I guess it depends on how much our payout is reduced and for how long. It's possible it could blow up before we ever get a full share.Leave a comment:

How many times do they have to push it back before some of the teams start to say no thanks.Leave a comment:

My completely uninformed guess is they have no decision and push back the decision some more. There's not enough rumors either way...and there's always a good number of sources and leaks before anything like this happens.Leave a comment:

SI now reporting that most likely outcome is more TV money for Big 12 to not expand. If true, thanks again to our "partners" at ESPN.

To their credit, they have played it very cool and with a lot of class. They have not conducted their business in the media and have kept the leaks to a minimum. We are lead to believe they have handled things as well as could be expected with this dysfunctional group whos butt we are forced to kiss. We need the Big 12 even if they are a less than desirable bedfellow but I don't think we have prostituted ourselves for inclusion. It appears (another dangerous assumption) that they have made their case, are confident that if expansion occurs it will include us, and are more patiently than the rest of us waiting for the call.Leave a comment:

I like the way you think and tend to ageee. The new teams won't have vote to delete GOR. A new media deal will be negotiated without GOR in next 2 years with deleting current GOR as part of deal letting OU and UT bolt, except OU stays and is happier to be rid of Texas.Leave a comment:

PLEASE PLEASE!! LET THIS BE TRUE!!
As much as I dislike Texas, I know that the Big 12 is our last best hope. We need to get in if we're going to breath some life (and money) back into our athletic department. Anyone that reads this board knows how cynical I am about the Big 12 and Texas. But does anyone else find it amazing how quiet UC has been during this entire process ???Leave a comment:
