Duh, they should accept. I think the result of the Pac10 expansion will be what we always wanted the AAC to grow into; i.e. a group of program which are all competitive to get into the lower end of the top 25 with an occasional top 5-10 team and consistently one of the 6 highest rated conference champs (Aresco wanted it to be consistently NY6, but now expanded playoff)Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

I've been of the long standing opinion that no one is going to take Memphis until they own or build their own facilities. USF is the same way despite the size of the school. USF is at least trying. Memphis is out here remodeling the Liberty Bowl.Brent Wyrick

The University of Memphis has control of the stadium. Not sure who owns it. According the AI on google it is owned by UM.

The city of Memphis formerly owned the Liberty Bowl, but transferred ownership to the university this past January. The city also tossed in $120M towards renovation, with Fred Smith (who else) adding $50M and UM paying another $50M.Originally posted by True Bearcat View Post

Emphasis on "per Brett McMurphy," as others are reporting there are discussions but not an agreement ...Brent Wyrick
