Cincinnati football head coach Luke Fickell announced the addition of James Ross III to coach outside linebackers on Wednesday. Ross comes to Clifton Heights from Hope College where he served as the Flying Dutchmen's linebackers coach in 2021 and had recently been promoted to defensive coordinator. Ross was a three-year starter at linebacker at Michigan from 2012 to 2015. He also spent three seasons as a graduate assistant with the Wolverines from 2018 to 2020.


In addition to adding Ross as Outside LB coach, #Bearcats announced 4 new support staffers:

-Ricky Brown, ST QC (Elder & BC grad, 7 yrs NFL, BC/USC/OSU asst)
-Michael Colosimo, Off QC (former UC QB)
-Jordan Johnson, Off GA (former UCF OL)
-Kurt Rawlings, Off GA (former Yale QB)
