That probably makes me as sad as anything.

Will be interesting how the Luke Fickell-Jim Leonhard talks go, but, as some have noted, they're pretty different philosophically on defense. Hearing Fickell would like to bring Cincinnati DC Mike Tressel and co-DC Colin Hitschler with him to Wisconsin.

That sucks because the players really loved Collins.

Well Tressel just won the AFCA assistant of the year award. 🤷🏼*♂️

              Justin Williams:

As reported earlier this week on @TheAthleticCFB, Cincinnati assts Mike Tressel (DC/LB), Colin Hitschler (SAF/coDC) & Mike Brown (WR/PGC) are expected to follow Luke Fickell to Wisconsin, along with strength coach Brady Collins & recruiting staffers Pat Lambert & Max Stienecker... OC/QB coach Gino Guidugli is an internal candidate to replace Luke Fickell. If he is not offered the Cincinnati job, he’s another assistant who could eventually follow Fickell to Wisconsin.

This is becoming an entire tear down and rebuild, right when we're entering the B12. Not surprising, but very unfortunate timing. Whomever John Cunningham hires will have his work cut out for him.

The stakes are extremely high. Only the right person can come in and be successful immediately. Cunningham has his work cut out for him.

                        EKU first, then Pitt/Miami.

I did say second game Pitt. I look for the Cats to beat EKU, but of course, you never know.

You should pretty much assume that any staff member not up for the internal job like Gino is subject to leave.

I just can’t see Gino being ready for the HC role.
