Kerry Coombs signed a new three-year deal. He will serve as UC's secondary coach and special teams coordinator.

"We're excited to keep Coach Coombs on our staff," Satterfield said. "His energy is contagious. He's an excellent motivator and developer of young men on and off the field. His resume here in Cincinnati, but also in the NFL and at Ohio State, speaks for itself. He's respected throughout the country. Interacting with him this past week and watching him serve as the interim head coach, I've been very impressed, and I know he will be a perfect fit for what we are building here."

Cincinnati football head coach Scott Satterfield announced on Friday that Kerry Coombs will remain on the Bearcats coaching staff.

Looks like Gino is headed to Wisconsin as the TE coach.

Apparently Fickell does not think that Gino is up to being the OC.

I mean he already hired Phil Longo from UNC so there's not a spot for him at that position.

He could have hired Gino since he didn't get the Western Michigan HC job for the OC, but I guess Wisky is in the BIG.

does anyone have a clue to who our OC might be? Satt said in the interview today that he hopes to have his staff completed by Jan 3rd. Is he waiting on a playoff/NY6 coach? Maybe Brian Hartline is in play for OC (doubt it). It's not going to be Gino or that would have happened by now.

Gino is recruiting for Wisconsin so that’s a no.

Cincinnati is expected to hire Ohio State director of player personnel Zach Grant as general manager, sources tell On3.

Before Ohio State, Grant was the general manager at Western Kentucky under Tyson Helton. Grant had been with the Hilltoppers since 2017, when he was hired as the team’s director of player personnel at just 23 years old.

                              https://footballscoop.com/news/ohio-...eld-zach-grant

Zach Grant, one of the most well-regarded personnel experts in college football and FootballScoop’s reigning Player Personnel Director of the Year, is poised to make another substantial career leap, sources tell FootballScoop.

And new Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield is likewise making an extremely significant off-the-field addition in the same sequence.
