I can't remember this many opt-outs. Wondering if this bowl was in a better climate whether we would have seen more players. Boston in mid-December. Hard to blame anyone.

I seriously doubt it as the college football climate has been changed for the worse.

Per cincinnati.com today, Kerry Coombs will be joined by Walter Stewart, Mike Cummings, Nate Letton, Darren Paige and James Ross on the sidelines. They will be complemented by graduate assistants and quality control coaches.

I have no idea who will call the offensive plays. I'd think Coombs might take the D.

The good thing is that UofL's staff is in the same sort of mess as UC's.

Louisville currently favored by 1. This seems like a real toss up (not that I know anything about UL's roster).

I guess the team slogan left with Fickell

Well, we did not use the tight ends this year anyway. I hope that the running game is really good on Saturday.

                      No surprise.

or we have a TE in the pipeline, but considering EP, I suspect a TE would have been welcomed

^^^ I like that lineup. They could still probably retain the whole year eligibility and play. Play them all and play them at the same time. With our speedsters opting out, go for the 6-10 yds per play and hope they break it open.

Who’s playing? Sort of kidding, but this bowl game is feeling a bit like a post season scrimmage.
