I suspected that to happen as it isn't a shock. What do they do now. Their CB coach Tim Walton is killing it. Do they make him secondary coach and give a full time position to James Laurenitis? Anyway, I hope Perry gets another job and continues coaching at the high level. Perry had a relative who is a 5 star recruit and Perry couldn't get him to tOSU. His recruiting lacked.

So, not sure if anyone has heard, but Alabama coach Nick Saban is retiring...

Dan Lanning posts on Twitter he is staying at Oregon -- he was a perceived top candidate for Alabama

Sark is also staying put. Everybody gets a raise and no one leaves. DeBoer hasn't signed anything yet.

UC defensive coordinator Bryan Brown is off to Ole Miss -- not sure who was first to report, but first tweet I saw was from BCJ's Keegan Nickoson

Defensive Coordinator Bryan Brown is leaving Cincinnati to be the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach at Ole Miss.

I am not sure why anyone would want a DC from UC after this terrible defensive season.

I hope AD John Cunningham takes note that a head coach can be hired in less that 8 days. Especially in the football hire, he seemed woefully unprepared for the HC leaving. Any boss worth his or her salt keeps a list of potential replacements. Alabama surely must have.

I’m pretty sure Saban gave his AD a lot of advance notice, unlike Luke Fickel.

The timing was also far better than when Fickell left. The college and nfl football seasons had concluded so any coaching candidate was available except the nfl coaches in the playoffs. Fick left prior to the bowl season when most everyone was either preparing for bowls or regular season nfl games. The portal window had opened and signing day was soon approaching, neither of which were a factor in AL opening. That limited Cunningham’s options severely, in my judgment. And not to state the obvious, UC is not a job as desirable as AL, and may not as desirable as we want to believe.
