Front D line isn't bad, but the secondary needs lots of work. Thought that the refs were "very friendly" to Miami. Houston is winnable next week.

Agree, our D stinks.Originally posted by Greg7173 View PostGood Things - It was a "W", we found a kicker and our running game with Kiner and Pryor can generate offense. Bad Things - No pass rush and no back end defense. We had a few good stops but they piled up a lot of yards. Still not sure how this season will turn out.

Totally agree. It's a bad rule at every level of football.Originally posted by SawyerHall68 View Post
I agree. I've seen this same situation occur before in recent year or two. It just seems that this rule in this situation achieves a very unjust turnover advantage to the defense. Place the ball at the point of fumble, since it found its way to the end zone out of bounds last touched by the offence.

Unfortunately that was the correct call. Just amazing bad luck on that .

Dan and Brian were stumped about pulling Gabbert who had a great day. They did say that he seemed to be holding his arm while on the sideline. The backup QB seemed to have quite the blunder sliding to end the game. He should have fought for the first down to stop the clock.

Anyone know why Chuck Martin surrendered early? The announcers seemed to think it was to keep Gabbert healthy. Gabbert was pissed that they pulled him

I think that their student attendance was around 10k which is extremely good for a 20k enrollment but the tickets were free. Our announcers said that the students started heading out at the half and said it was probably because they were hot and thirsty and probably ended up in the bars.Originally posted by Lobot View Post
It was technically a sellout at 24,707 or something like that. Most of them were UC fans and Miami students I think, The nosebleeds on the home side were open so this must be tickets sold not people in the gate.
Their average attendance hovers around 4000 something

The announcers said that this game had a record attendance plus a record attendance for students. It seemed loud today.

I feel badly for Joe Royer. He lost 2 TDs today. Both of which would have put this game away.

Love that they kicked the FG instead of playing scared. And we have a kicker now!
