    Miami 9/14 12:00 ESPNU

Miami is coming off a bye after losing to Northwestern 13-6 in Week 1. They've had two weeks to dissect the UC defense and offense on tape and the game is at Yager Stadium.

I think it's hard to gauge how good or bad Miami is this year on one game against a bottom tier P4. The Redhawks don't play an FCS team this year to compare against UC's win over Towson. I think it's safe to say Pitt is better than Northwestern though or at least we made them look that way.

ESPN predictor has us at a 55% chance to win and I'm not sure what they're looking at. Hopefully Miami is looking ahead on this one. The next game on the schedule for Miami is at Notre Dame.

In the event that we lose this game, it'll be interesting to see the next move from the administration re: Satterfield. We should not lose this game in the current football climate, even at Yager.

    The series is tied.

P.S. Chuck Martin has a chance to get two coaches fired in successive weeks here after NIU upset ND yesterday.

I was not at that gamebut I still remember Rick Minter's classic soundbite: "It's a digrace!" Anybody have a link to that?

Wow, I almost forgot about that fiasco. The officials there are truly members of that team. The fans in Hawaii are worse than UNC Charlotte basketball fans back in the Huggins days.

Hey, with this team, any win is a good win. I know this may sound crazy, but with a more attacking, consistently blitzing style defense, this UC team could be alright. They already have some nice weapons on offense (Sorsby, Royer, Kiner, Henderson, Pryor, etc.). With some decent and consistent play calling, this team could really be a good scoring team. UC already averages 30 points a game over three games. With a more mad-dog style of attacking and disruptive defense, with the scoring, this UC team could be pretty good. To me, UC's defense makes it TOO #$@&% COMFORTABLE for the other team's quarterback. If UC could do a better job of making quarterbacks uncomfortable, they may be able to get more stops. Teams are able to run up-and-down field too much on UC right now.

If you look at UC's schedule, there are a few winnable games (Houston, Texas Tech, Colorado, West Virginia, and maybe, maybe, Arizona State at home). Look at what is possible if UC's defense can step-it-up. On to BIG 12 play. Let's see if this UC team can get to a bowl game.

Yep, they were apparently close in the preseason and they went with Carter Brown because he had D1 game experience. Funny thing to me is that I don't think Brown did anything wrong. The kick he missed against Pitt was on the holder. Laces were in.

So much with the thoughts of many here that we need players only from major programs.
