Is CSS taking lessons from Zac Taylor?

Has anyone ever seen Satterville & Zac Taylor at the same time and same place?

I am a minority of one here with this next statement. I actually don't have a problem with the 4th and 1 call early in the game. Now, the second truth is that I was also voicing before the play they should kick it, so I see the logic. Going for it wasn't really a bad idea. We have a high success rate on 4th down this year...at one point near the top of teams either conference-wide or nationwide, I can't remember. But, a fair percentage of time, we will make that yard and maybe go up two touchdowns. Another decent percentage of time, we won't make that yard. A very tiny percentage of time, we will throw a pick-6. Maybe even just taking the sack there changes the outcome of the game. It was just highly unlikely that return was going to be the outcome.

You have Corey Kiner, you have to be able to line up, under center, and get a stinking yard. The play call was abysmal.
          Fire Scott Satterfield

By the way, they showed the "fumble" on the big screen about half a dozen times - it sure looked like he had the ball, his arm was coming forward, and the ball moved forward. It sure looked like an incomplete pass. They had the replay machine out on the field - 2 of the officials were headed for it, they stopped about half way and turned around. For those of you who were watching the game on tv - was it any clearer as to to whether it was a fumble or an incomplete pass?

Fumble for sure but not by much. Even if his arm was moving forward, the ball went backwards about a yard or so. That makes it a lateral which is a live ball/fumble, same result.

Couple things not mentioned was the poor special teams play. Both returns put WVU in great field position. Also, offensively, what happened with getting the ball to Joe Royer?
Sorsby did not have his best game, but I don’t understand not having Royer in the game plan
We were the better team until we imploded

Special teams definitely had issues. We let off multiple long returns and couldn't block on our own. The kick catch interference penalty didn't help either.

I don't think they left Royer out of the game plan so much as WVU was super aware of him and had him covered a lot of the time. I remember one play where Royer was targeted and probably would have had a TD but the play got blown dead.

Some post mortem from Scott Springer. Good luck with the ad blocker pop ups.

that the play that WVU got a timeout at the last second? heading into the south endzone? if it was, the ball was overthrown - royer couldn't pull it in

Whole game turned on that decision (of course coach couldn't know Sorsby was going to throw a pick six - BUT - why not go up 2 scores at that time?)
Because CSS is a worse play caller than Zach Taylor is.

That's the play but I felt like Royer held up due to the whistle.
