Yes we were close and our depth is going to help, but I think of teams that win their conference or make conference championship games when I think of sleepers. Too many things have to go our way to pull off what Arizona State did last year. I'd like to think it is possible and am a big Homer when it comes to our Bearcats, yet I hesitate to let myself believe we are gonna shock some teams and have a super team.
The Huskers' frosh punter is Archie Wilson, an ambipedal kid out of the Aussie Pro Kick program who has gone viral. We'll get to compare him to Max Fletcher. Unlike a traditional punter like Max, however, Wilson rolls out for rugby-style punts—in either direction. That has to be hard to prepare for in the return game.

remember when there was so much pearl clutching, at the thought that the college football season might go past 10 games? the students can't miss that much school time! now, its just an absolute money grab - expand the playoffs, since we can shake unbelievable amounts of money from tv. at the same time, how many calls and/or emails do we all get, for us to contribute more. college sports have jumped the shark.
Even the NFL uses a wild card system to determine at-large bids. I'd be open to saying all conferences can get a automatic playoff bid for each division winner. I'd stipulate that divisions had to be 10 teams and schools have to play the other 9 teams in their division, plus get rid of out of conference games that would be replaced with out of division games within their conference. They can protect Oregon from Oh St, or the SEC can separate Texas/Bame/Georgia from the other top teams.
Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.
