Evan Pryor is obviously not on the trip. Jake Golday was listed on the two deep but Tyson Veidt is saying he will not play .
I'm all for guys with pro prospects sitting out especially against a service academy. The cut blocks in the triple option offense can end your career really fast.Brent Wyrick

Some team members visited St. Judes on their first day in Memphis.
Cincinnati Bearcats Visit Hospital Before Kicking Off First Bowl Practice | Fanrecap.com
edit: I do not know what other schools do but it appears that UC has some really great young men and women representing the bear claw. We hear all of the time about the men's and women's teams visiting local hospitals but to do it on the road makes me proud to be a Bearcat.Last edited by bearcatbret; 01-02-2026, 12:36 AM.

Wondering how we feel about UC's chances in the Liberty Bowl? I am not optimistic. Key opt-outs on defense (Corleone, Golday), Walker opts-out on offense, transfer portal entries (Harrison, Pryor, Sanks, Sorsby). Those are all starters that UC won't have available.
Navy is ranked in the top 25, is 10-2 and has an opportunity to win 11 games for the first time in its history. They will be disciplined and motivated. UC is rarely disciplined and motivated.
It could be ugly . . .Last edited by London 'Cat; 01-02-2026, 11:41 AM.

I agree with you. I was always concerned about the Midshipmen being at full roster and UC having the opt outs. However, what I am hoping for is that the guys that have to step up have something to prove and will play hard. Also, something else to consider is if the UC team partied and that Navy was disciplined (remember the Sugar Bowl?).Originally posted by London 'Cat View PostWondering how we feel about UC's chances in the Liberty Bowl? As predicted, the weather conditions are extremely suboptimal. Neither team having much luck trying to throw so far.
Shout out to the band, cheer , dance team and fans standing out there in this mess.Brent Wyrick
