The latest from footballcoachscoop.com:
Notre Dame
According to our source close to the situation, Skip Holtz (East Carolina Head Coach) has been in contact with Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick. Our source
tell us that the search seems to be headed his way and expect a meeting to take place after the Conference USA Championship game.
Wow. If this is the case I would be very surprised.Comment

The whole Edsall thing cooled down quickly, didn't it?
Skip Holtz went 9-5 last year and won the eastern division of the conference, and this year is 8-4 with a chance to go 9-4 and win the conference championship, plus a future bowl game. Not too shabby.
By the way, I saw Gonzaga down big to WSU (early in game).Comment

I don't know that you can count anyone out. Coaches are all liars, and have NOTHING to gain by being honest when these things come up.
I haven't scanned this thread (no time) to see if anyone has mentioned candidates for our job, but I like Tommy T a lot. He NEVER failed at Auburn (7-5 may have been his worst season) and actually went undefeated once. He was shafted in getting fired. Also like Jeff Quinn a LOT, Butch Jones (CMU might try to bomb our campus if that happened), and yes, Chis I even like KC a bit - but it would depend HEAVILY on his staff.
That's my short list in preparing for the worst (although I do hope for the best).Comment
