lol... the a b c thing right back at me. I heard the dream job thing last year and altrell hawkins was talking about when he said it on 1530 today. 1.5 is much less than 4 mil. And during all the pressers and everything else he has dodged it. WEBN dawn patrol.. ok like that whole thing was them laughing and just having a good time.

Bob Stoops met with ND's AD in Dallas after Stoops said he was staying at Oklahoma. Stoops is ND's man and ND is going to get their man.

At this point, you have to believe that FootballCoachScoop is just throwing ANYTHING related to Notre Dame (reliable, unreliable, vetted, or unvetted) onto their website to try and generate more page hits.

Because, if you follow the timeline, it's too wildly inconsistent to be taken at face value.

There is no way to verify that the guy at bluegraysky who claims he did this actually did this. The story itself could be a complete fabrication, there is no way to know.

The guy who who calls a guy a fraud is really a fraud? Interesting scenario, possible but why bother. All this insider stuff is crazy, I look at the ND boards 2 or 3 times a day and they all claim to know insiders too. The thing is one of these insiders is right, Id like to just know which one.

Im very worried about recruits and fanbase more than the winning if Kelly leaves. I think we are going to bring in a solid replacement but I think the 2010 season ticket base will not grow much and I worry about losing some commits. I also dont see BK coaching the bowl game. If we make the NC game BK is here because he will not pass on that opportunity and ND will not want to wait another month and miss out on valuable recruiting time. In my opinion it will be better for us to get the replacement in as soon as possible so that he can hit the ground running and not live in the shadow of Brian Kelly. But most importantly I hope that I am very negative person and that I am reading to much into Brian Kelly. See yall in Pitt tommorow

I heard that ND will announce Stoops at 1:00 tomorrow. If this is true, we should be safe with Kelly, as he probably (rumors...I know) was the 2nd man in if this doesn't go through.
The source of this is highly reliable...but info has been tough to come by. Let's just say I think it's accurate, but I'll finally believe it when it happens.

DT Louis Nix verballed to ND after Weis was let go. I believe he (and others) thought they would be comfortable with the next coach, as well as the school. I do think if Stoops is the coach, look for ND to possiblly (just a little chance) that Matt James could take another look, as well as DE Chris Martin. To be continued....

It doesn't rule Stoops out nor Kelly. What it does mean that if we lose to Pitt we should be going to the Gator Bowl since ND gave up it's spot (not that they were going to pick them anyway)

I understand the kids being comfortable with the university but how can they be comfortable with just ANY coach? If they were that comfortable with the university why not just commit when Weiss was head coach?

If kelly leaves do you want him to coach the bowl game? I dont, I dont want to sit and hear about how well hes going to do at ND the entire bowl game. I will be there so I wont have to listen but you get what im saying.

While I agree if Stoops falls through, its Kelly's job to be had...I disagree that Swarbrick will announce anything untill all the BCS bids are settled sunday night. He is a media hound and will want the nations full attention when he announces the next ND coach. I say Monday at the earliest...howver I hope your right!
