UC got their first 2024 victory, blasting NKU, 10-2. RF Landyn Vidourek went 3-for-5 with a HR and 4 RBI.

The Cats now are 1-2 and head to Conway, SC, for 3 weekend games against Ball State, Illinois & Coastal Carolina (AKA the University of Myrtle Beach).

Their campus in Conway, SC is beautiful. Think the campus up US 27 dropped in amongst acres of pine trees.

The Bearcats had a great day down in Conway. In their first game, they dominated Ball State, 10-2, then belted Illinois, 10-3. They'll play the host Chanticleers tomorrow at 2:00.

Finished 25-2 with 8 HBP by UC and 1 by CCU. CCU was ranked 24th. They're going to have to get it together before they get into conference play. Lots of ranked teams in the Big XII

I'm trying to imagine how this went down. Strikeout swinging, catcher swipes at ball in the dirt but slaps it toward the third baseman who throws it into the dugout?
