I fully reject both arguments. ND didn't look beyond Marcus when BK left. Even if Luke was interested, the feeling wasn't mutual from ND. If ND called, Lukedidn't comprehend woulda jumped. They didn't and he saw the writing on the wall with the tOSU situation. Ryan was hand-picked by Urban Meyer and Luke never had a shot at his true dream job in Columbus. Once Luke came to terms with the fact Oh St or ND wouldn't call him, after turning down Arkansas, WVU, and a few others, he told his agent to reach out to midwest Big Ten teams and he jumped at Wisconsin. However, Wisky was the best option as the other two were simply dreams.

you still are not comprehending my post but jumping to your viewpoint. Where did I ever say CLF. was in the running for tOSU job after Meyer? I said he was at one time the HC. Concerning ND, they needed a coach right away and CLF was locked in with the Cats. Unless you have deep insider knowledge at ND, then we won't know if there were even feelers. What we do know is that you didn't comprehend my post about tOSU and put words in my mouth. You may have misunderstood, but I thought I was plain in my second post. My friend it is impossible to reject an argument unless you understand what the argument was. You jumped to conclusions and put your thoughts for what I actually wrote. I still wonder how CLF felt watching the game.

CLF was HC of tOSU as my post stated. I believe he would have been in major consideration for the ND had he not stayed at UC one more year. I wrote "knowing he was and could have been HC for each team". Interim or not he was HC at tOSU. His OSU team was decimated by the situation before he became HC. His successor was picked well before the announcement and that also caused his authority to be rejected at OSU. Now can we imagine CLF's emotion watching that game.

Fickell left Ohio State because the boosters essentially told him he wasn't getting another shot after the dismal performance his one year filling in as interim HC after Cooper left.

They never submitted the paperwork because....... Lucas signed a 2 year NIL contract and is in potential breach. Incoming lawyers.

I'm hopeful Wisconsin wins this case and forces the player to finish his contract in Madison. It would clear the way for multi-year NIL deals and at least slow the flow of one-year contracts, and crazy free agency.

That's easy enough to prove, as the documents go to the NCAA for all schools to view on-line.

Before that can happen his prior school (WI) has only two days from the date he informs the compliance department for them to turn in the paperwork, including his transcripts. His name couldn't have appeared unless the paperwork was put forward. Could The U have requested further information that Fickell won't release?

The flip side is that Lucas has a done deal with the U for NIL but can't get out of Madison. Not sure if there's a contract breach with UW going on here or what. Lucas seems to think they're holding him hostage.

What really makes you believe the ?Badgers should be the Redhawks, let alone Bama in Bryant-Denny Stadium? As to the Hoosiers, I don't seen Cignetti going anywhere or regressing. Giving them benefit of the doubt, the Badgers should be 3-4 heading into a toss-up game with an Illini squad that was ranked this year. Lose that game, then the only winnable games are home matches against Iowa, Maryland, and UDub. Lose to the Illini and 6-6 is best possible outcome.

Fickell is in a bad state of affairs. 5-7 after 5-game season-ending losing streak. Wisky probably can't fire him (40M reasons). Next year's schedule is daunting, to say the least.
