  • 247 put out transfer portal rankings https://247sports.com/LongFormArticl...0/#185541230_1

    1. Brandon Murray, LSU
    19. Sean McNeil, WVU

Most of the others have been mentioned in this thread (Bates, Llewellyn, Curbelo, Holden, etc), but don't recall UC being mentioned with any of them publicly

    Also from 247 https://247sports.com/college/basket...its-185528597/

On Murray: Former assistant Kevin Nickelberry has landed at Georgetown and there has been some speculation that some of the players could follow him. Murray is considering them with others like Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Maryland and many others.

On McNeil: He can be a bit streaky, but there is no doubt that McNeil was one of the most feared snipers in the Big 12. A former junior college standout, he’s got age and experience on his side and could be a solid one-year rental for somebody looking to beef up their scoring from the perimeter. Cincinnati, Texas Tech and several more have jumped right in.

Rothstein put out a list of teams that have contacted Curbelo, UC not on the list.

      • Every scholarship player from LSU has either turned pro or has hit the transfer portal, and seems like nearly everyone was a top 50, 75, 100 recruit. Surprised they weren't better, not that a 6 seed is a bad team.

Here's the thing. As much as we might want some of these guys, you have to assume they are were all on the take from Will Wade. That makes them ineligible and we shouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole unless they can prove they're clean.

            • Accordoing to Rothstein we have not contacted Andre Curbelo. I find this a little weird.

              • There was a 247 article where Dashawn Davis mentioned us as contacting him but he has cut us from his list of finalist. His quote about us didn’t seem like we were going after him too much anyway, it was a pretty awkward quote.

Harrison, from Greeneville, SC, shot very poorly this season (36.5%), but averaged 17.1 ppg on high volume. He rarely sat (35 min/g). His outside shooting was awful at 24.3% (53/218). However, he shot FTs extremely well (85.6%). No way to know about the rest of his game.

The Buckeyes landed their first commitment out of the transfer portal this offseason Saturday as former Wright State guard Tanner Holden announced he will stay in Ohio and join the scarlet and gray. Holden will have two years of eligibility with the Buckeyes.

He's a 6'4 guard with one year of eligibility left. 11.6, 4.7 and 2.8. I'm pretty sure we discussed him previously, whether before his transfer to UW or S. Carolina, or both.
