I know Tolentino was slowed by injury but what is his
game like - Good rebounder ? Good post moves ?

Tolentino was ranked a three star recruit who had a decent outside shot. He was considered to have decent footwork although thin @ 210 lbs. He could be a worthwhile project for a true #5 at 7'0" with the right attitude, coaching, diet and weight program. Going to the B12, his transition will be progressive and not sudden I suspect.

In some cases when players decide to move on, their situations get worse. Look at Mike Saunders (Utah) and Mason Madson (Boston College). I have seen both Utah and Boston College play this year multiple times. Both Saunders and Madson appear to have less of a role and play less time than they did at UC. The problem as I see it with most of UC's players regardless if they stay or go somewhere else is, both Brannen and Miller have recruited a bunch of offensive minded players that are NOT GOOD ENOUGH defensively. That is perhaps why both Saunders and Madson are bench players at their new schools. Whomever Miller decides to bring in, for the health of the program, I hope Miller bring in some players can and WANT TO play on both sides of the ball.

Your overall point is spot on - get some players who actually “want to play some D”

However, your details on Madsen are completely inaccurate. He averages over 21 minutes per game this year at BC, and closer to 30mpg until mid season. Last year was only 11, and 17 the year before (and that was only bc of necessity). Let’s be honest, he was never recruited as center piece, just more of a shooting specialist to come alongside Gabe. When he had his chances, he just never delivered at BC or UC.

The best two defenders going into the season were Phinisee and Newman. Those were huge losses, and led to lots of minutes for guys who don’t defend well. I thought back in October the starting lineup would be Lakhin, Nolley, Newman, DeJulius, and Phinisee. We get 23-24 wins if those guys were healthy.

Reading between the lines on Twitter, maybe he could be headed to McNeese State? Tari Eason's former LSU coach.... He'd do well at a lower level but what a wild ride if that's the next stop for him. Also, would he have to sit out a year?

UC has contacted Indy native Jayden Taylor, a 6'4 sophomore at Butler. He led the Bulldogs in scoring at 12.9 ppg this past season.

Uc has contacted Nate Calmese, a Lamar freshman from Arizona. The 6'2 guard led Lamar in scoring this past year at over 17 ppg.

Everybody will be on this one. This is the one I was going to post about yesterday. Lampkin had a falling out with Jamie Dixon for some reason and left the team prior to the Big XII tourney. He's wide body 6'11 guy who reminds me a little bit of Shaq Morris from Wichita.
