At some point the NCAA just has to get control of this madness. This getting to be as big a spectacle as the NFL draft. But then that could be the goal.

Sorry, I was confusing him with Abaev. Just old age.

        • Have we been tied to Colorado center Bangot Dak in any way? I saw a FB post and don't trust that source. If true, I'd be all for it, but have doubts.

            • Some Twitter noise around Andrew McKeever from St Mary's. 7'2" C who posted a 4.6 BPM as a sophomore. An ok offensive player but an absolute monster on the glass. 20% OReb rate on the season and 23% in 7 top 50 games.

              • And a ton of noise around Tylen Riley this afternoon. My previous assessment:

Those numbers are almost identical to 2020 Jarron Cumberland. 5.5 rim attempts per game. Doesn't shoot much from distance but made 39%. This is the type of point guard I've been hoping for. Downsides are he isn't a good finisher, converting just 50% at the rim and 45% inside the arc (also identical to Cumberland), and he is turnover prone. May not be a good defender with a DBPM around zero. He was not one of the top 5 BPM players on Tulsa (a very good team this year that went to the NIT final and finished #60 on Torvik).

Wow. Thiam is rubbing elbows with the bluebloods. Good for him. I believe that Calhoun could have made him a better player. Too bad. I grew to really like Thiam. Too bad he is moving on.

McKeever started an official visit at UC this evening. There is big competition for his services, including Iowa and UConn. The Hawkeyes reportedly are after him hard.
