All talk of religious schools is in poor taste as it can be offensive to individuals. I don't think the post was a hit on the RCC, but some schools due to being private think of themselves as better. Holier than thou has become a cliche for thinking of oneself as better without a religious notation. Now I know that some at Duke consider themselves a tad better due to money and certainty not to any vestige that they have of the Methodists. The Kids I meet at Princeton when I go for a pizza at Nomads are very nice. BTW I really like their pizza, but Conte's is the old-time bar pizzeria, and they have great steak sandwiches. St. Peter's here in Jersey and St. Joseph in Philly are both Jesuit and religion is about the last thing that is spoken of. I think it was just an expression stating an attitude in general and not a religious slur. I have met some at another Jesuit school that many have an attitude, but it is because they are ND and not Society of Jesus affiliated. Then again, I have not met all who attend. I will say that a school which started to be the academic opposite of religious schools such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton without being religious has a large attitude of many who think they are better. At least it has been my experience at the University of Chicago Law School. (wow what a better than thou attitude was my post)

I would like to see the beloved Bearcats play X again and see who is better on the court.

There's quite a few Jesuit schools out there that most people don't have an issue with, like SLU. Then there's Xavier. But yeah It would be nice if we could beat them on the court.

Re: Mack, I think the things that Miller and Mack were doing at X no longer apply. NIL has killed that advantage for them. Now everyone can play that game.
It just hit me the wrong way.

I think that would be perfect.

His name came up briefly in OSU talks in the immediate aftermath of Holtmann firing and that seemed crazy to me. He's not ready to jump back in at that level. Also, I have long believed that he would resurface at a private school - he couldn't get away with some of the same s---- at Louisville (public) as he was probably doing at Xavier (holier than thou private institution).

Add in inevitable transfer portal departures, a potential first round draft pick who clearly will be heading to the league, etc. and things could get ugly in the next couple weeks in Bloomington.

So it's not too late if the IU admins want to change their minds. Rumors were that the AD was open to a move, but BOT chair/IU basketball legend/friend of the head coach Quinn Buckner was not.
some attorney might be getting richer. But the Board usually has its way.

Millions talk loudly. It is interesting that after the old AD said Holtman would finish the year, the money for the buyout came with a new AD. The money has always been there, but the old AD didn't like to spend it on anything but buildings. Look at this year since January, high priced transfers, top recruits with 3 of the top 6 2025 football recruits committed and one Chip Kelly. I suspect we will see more spending until some regulations come in. Thet are playing fair though.
Woodson signed an extension. What was that about?

Bryce James may be a 3 star recruit but he is a 5 star attraction and money maker for whatever school he chooses.

Coach Dusty May addressed OSU rumors once again in his weekly presser: -Again isn’t sure where the rumors came from - Says he would be flattered if Lebron James knew his name Reflects his comments after the first go around of OSU rumors… this time with an LBJ twist. He claims no interest, but season still going on.

I watched the end of their game last night. UIC was leaving Jarrett Hensley open for threes and he was bricking them. He missed one at the end of regulation and then one in each overtime. Hensley did have 3 blocks though.
