The last thing this team needs is a disgruntle player who has their egos hurt. I'd like to see Jizzel stay but if he can't come to grips with the situation (whatever it is) and move on to embrace the team, then so be it.
Honestly, I was hoping to see him play all 4 or 5 years here.

Without Sedz getting out the sabremetrics, I agree this doesn't have to be detrimental to the team. Yes, when he was on, he would get downhill, play nice D, and hit shots. When he wasn't, he was a volume shooter who was missing, taking deep 2's and not getting to the rim enough. In past years we've needed a Jizzle just to do something when there is literally no offense. Paired with DayDay who also loves the jumper 2, it was a bit duplicative. I hope this year we have more of an offensive scheme and ball movement where that role isn't as necessary.

Sounds ominous that someone or something happened, and people are clearly pissed at the moment. I just hope CWM and staff didn't do anything fans are unhappy with when things are all cleared up and info is available.

If he comes he comes, if he doesn't there are minutes available and this might just be addition by subtraction. I know I might get hammered but I thought he hurt the team the first moment he was on the court. Sure he made shots, but didn't make teammates with his ball hog antics and didn't make a lot of wins. Maybe someone not from a famous family might be hungry for improvement and not the limelight.

Chad didn't provide any background information. He doesn't want to publicize what's going on behind the scenes, at least until there's finality.

Seen several people mention him "crashing out" on an IG live and many expressing concern for his mental health/him as a person separate from anything basketball related.

If he's just been trolling, seems like still questionable behavior.

There are rumors about Jizzle James out there right now, related to some recent activity on his Instagram IG account (wasn't there also something several weeks ago where he got "hacked"?).

I'd hope there weren't any issues with him but in a hypothetical world I think the backcourt--if healthy--would be okay with Kriisa, Thomas, Tillery, Harris.

I hate to be the posting rumors guy, but just putting it out there and someone else can chime in if they have more info. There's a whole thread over on BCJ with Chad Brendel yet to comment.

Update: Chad just posted a GIF that says "Not great, Bob!"

Just saw a headline in the Cincinnati Enquirer that suggests this year's basketball team may be Miller's "best roster". I did not read the piece because I do not have access to the Enquirer. Also, Sports Illustrated is reporting the same thing about the roster. Likewise, I just read that UC will be a lot tougher this year, based on the first few practices.

I personally do not put much truth in all of that. I evaluate based on what I see and the data. The numbers don't lie. Most of the time, a person's eyes don't lie either. I am very excited to see this team. Hey, you know what? I was also excited about last year's team. Look how that played out. New season, new team. I like this roster.

I am in agreement. This may be Miller's best roster. Hopefully this roster can win games.

It is hard to believe that there are only 2 Cats who had serious playing time returning for this year's team. The returners basically played the same position too. This is so different than past years. I am ready though. I need to put bodies to names and I am excited to learn their games. While a totally different time, I am excited to pick a new favorite and hopefully see many wins. Go Cats.
