Cincinnati transfer Dan Skillings is drawing interest from Baylor, Florida, LSU, Alabama and others, source told ESPN. Entered the portal this morning, will also test the NBA draft waters. 6-foot-6 wing averaged 9.2 points this season. Repped by Scott Nichols of Rize Management and Kenny Jackson of Sky Limit Sports.

I agree with you. Also, I believe that he tried too hard at times and then tried to carry the team at times just making it worse. James also tried to do too much on his own.

Obviously there are more transfers in forthcoming (and probably transfers out). Roster is far from finished.

I hope Wes knows who he wants on the roster for next year. It doesn’t seem like there will be a different scheme/game plan, which we all agreed was not up to standards for the program. Unless he plans on bringing in some players who can thrive in his scheme, I feel like 25-26 will be his last as coach.

Apparently Jizzle followed Brandon Garrison, 6'11 245 sophomore from Kentucky. Garrison had a 5.2 BPM this season. He's just an ok rebounder (8% OReb) and scorer (55% true shooting), but he's a good passer for a big (18% assist rate) and a solid defender (3.5 defensive BPM).

If Kriisa can bring Garrison along, I take back everything negative I said about him.

Garrison averaged 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.6 blocks off the bench for UK this year, following averages of 7.5./5.3/1.5 as a freshman starter at Oklahoma State. He scored 14 in the brutal UC loss late in 2024.

Had quiet numbers this year but had games such as 8 and 4 in 18 minutes versus Duke, 10 and 9 in 17 minutes versus Gonzaga, 13 and 5 in a win at Georgia, 11 and 6 versus Alabama, and two 15-point outings versus a pair of bad SEC teams. He also had 13 and 6 in the NCAA Tournament versus Troy, but just a combined 8 points versus Illinois and Tennessee.

We've contacted Tyeree Bryan, a 6'5 wing from Santa Clara. Bryan is the best player we've connected with so far. He put up a 5.9 BPM this year thanks to 43% shooting from deep, a solid 7% OReb rate for a wing, and a turnover rate under 10%. He's a low usage offensive player, but the metrics indicate he's a great glue guy.

Texas Tech. He fits their style really well.

Sorry. Skillings had a lot of issues this year. Not sure 'trying too hard' was one of them.

I can see teams taking a flyer on him if they can get him on the cheap. There's so much film of him this season playing like he was in a coma, I find it hard to believe any name program would view it as more than a shot in the dark. As to the NBA.. C'mon.

I have to openly wonder how much of this is hype being peddled by the player agents. Trying to pump up the price. The media don't care. They just want content.

I'm kinda disappointed Rayvon has decided to bail, but I understand why. He would probably do well at a MAC or A-10 program. He's just too slight of build to stand up the physicality of playing his position in the B12.

We'll know soon enough how much of this is real or just social media BS.

I had hope for Rayvon to be a significant contributor next year and say what you like about Reed's offense and lacking athleticism, he was probably our best defender. With Page, Betsey and Mitchell all still expected to enter the portal, it's going to be an almost brand new team next year.

Does anyone know WHY Skillings has hit the Portal and will transfer to another school. Has Skillings given any reason to why? I'm curious what his reasons are?

Do we have an inside track on who else will follow Skillings?

I personally will miss Daniel! As Sedz said, when he was locked in he was really good! and as Gmann said, he probably was never going to reach his full potential at UC!

almost a rebuild? if it gets to that point, should uc reconsider biting the bullet and pushing miller out? can't imagine it would happen, with the $$$$. but, damn, its frustrating
