Craft is also receiving interest from Clemson, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Rutgers, Michigan, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, and others.”
Craft is a high volume 41% three point shooter who takes care of the ball, but he's awful defensively. 2.3 BPM on offense but negative 2.5 on defense. If he can play at least competent defense in our system, we could use his shooting.

      Additions to my bigs wishlist:
      Keanu Dawes, Utah
      Morez Johnson, Illinois
      Justin Bodo Bodo, High Point

      • BearcatBunch added Tre White from lllinois to their portal tracker, who would be our top connection with a 6.1 BPM. But it looks like the only connection is that Dillon Mitchell followed him on instagram. I don't know if that's good or bad for us, haha.

not to mention the article starts out saying Wes may target a big to replace viktor Lakhin lol

the whole article mentions nothing and says it was written with help of AI

4.4 BPM this year and 5.0 in 6 games against top 100 competition. Moore is a good, high usage slasher who gets to the rim 6 times per game and finishes 67% there. He also takes more than 5 free throws per game and makes 81%. Poor defender though. He was held to just 6 points against Florida in the first round, but put up 18 points on 16 shots against Tennessee in December.

              • We're one of many schools to contact Amarion Dickerson, a 6'7 185 junior forward from Robert Morris. Dickerson put up a 4.7 BPM this year. He's a good interior finisher, rebounder, and shot blocker as an undersized 4. He scored 25 points with 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks against Alabama in the first round. I don't care if he gets pushed around if he can produce those numbers.

Thanks for sharing. I feel you're are always at a disadvantage in pooling booster $$ when you are located in a city with 3 professional sports franchises (Bengals, Reds, FC Cincy) to compete against for entertainment.

True. On the other hand, UC has over 350K living alumni. UC has the donor base. It will take time to develop and grow NIL. Houston is in the second tier, has four/five professional franchises in the Texans, Rockets, Astros and Dynamo/Dash (NWSL), and has similar number of living alumni - 315K. It can be accomplished at UC.

True but Houston has a population of 2.3MM to Cincinnati's 300K+. It's an uphill climb in this market but nobody wants it to happen more than me. I do think the alumni are perturbed over how things have gone the last few years with both the FB and BB programs.

It is the Cincinnati market as a whole concerning abandoning the team. The fans will start turning on the Reds in a month.

                        • Am I the only one that feels like none of this portal news matters? I mean many of us were convinced this past season was going to be the breakthrough and it was so bad I stopped watching. I don't think I saw a single game in the last month and a half. I'm just not going to fall for any of the portal hype or team hype this time around. If Wes is the coach, I need to be conviced to care. I'm not setting myself up for the 7th straight year of disappointment. Talk about the definition of insanity. I do appreciate all of you contributors, though. I do still like to keep track. I'm just not falling for it until they prove it.

You're not the only one, but when looking at college athletics, we have two groups: fans/alumni who ebb and flow with performance, and the die-hard boosters who are there win or lose. Both are good and necessary for the success of a program. Every program goes through ups and downs, and unfortunately it is the giving (through donations or simple ticket sales) when the program is at a low that helps get it back on top. I've been in both camps through my UC fandom, young single kid living paycheck-to-paycheck, more successful single guy able to donate, young family with other priorities, and now nearing retirement with adult kids and able to donate again. It's all good, and you're not the ony one waiting for the success. There are many in both camps, and we need them all.

                            • I watched every game that I couldn't get to and will continued to do so. I'll even watch at least some of the other CBC games that don't involve UC. I've learned over 75 years to chill out. That probably comes from being a longsuffering Browns fan.

                              • I watch basketball because I like it. I appreciate the tactics and chaos even when my team isn't winning. I prefer college basketball because most players are only competent in a couple areas so ridiculous things happen and strategy is more important.
