Betsey joining Syracuse is an interesting development. They're undergoing a huge roster overhaul (only return 2 players from last season) and all of their new frontcourt additions are largely unproven at the high major level. There's definitely a pathway to playing time for him.

UC has reportedly contacted Tanner Thomas, a 6'6 forward for Sacred Heart (14.5 and 6.1 this season). He was a RS junior this year, it seems, after playing just 9 games due to injury in 23-24. Sacred Heart, of course, was Cane Broome's first school.

UF has really good academics, not UM level, but maybe they want him to elevate their current programs. Plus, I'm sure UF offered him a ton of money. Just like the free agent transfers, show him the moolah!

i think its an understatement to say that UF has had some issues with ex-Senator Ben Sasse. Maybe they're looking to SO to clean up their image

Yeah, I did not know that. I just looked at Alabama's roster about 3 days ago and Nelson's name is still on Alabama's roster.
