I don’t really have anything to add to the discussion. I just wanted to see if I’m five star.

I had a great response to this but I'll hold my sarcasm.. Lol
Campbell and Collins are not an either or proposition. We have a roster spot available for both if they're eligible.

Javontae Campbell from BGSU is officially on the roster https://gobearcats.com/news/2026/09/...ll-for-2026-27
“Javontae comes from a great program in Bowling Green and tremendous coach in Todd Simon,” Calhoun said. “I think he’ll be really good in our system because he can put a large amount of pressure on the rim. Obviously, his steal numbers are significant, but his overall defensive mentality will be a tremendous asset. He’s a tremendous person who really wants to win.”

Does Campbell project as a starter? With 18.7 ppg, along with his defensive prowess, I would think so.Javontae Campbell from BGSU is officially on the roster https://gobearcats.com/news/2026/09/...ll-for-2026-27

We may have to temper any excitement over getting Campbell—not because of his abilities, but because he has a foot injury. Chad Brendel mentioned last night on one of his podcasts that it doesn't look great. He didn't go into any details.Comment

At least at this point. Regardless of how the Court of Appeals rules, the losing party will be back before the Ohio Supreme Court. That's where and when the case will end, one way or the other.Comment

Hopefully, we have some former Bearcats who are lawyers and doing some Pro Bono work. If not, there are a lot of universities that are racking up some huge bills. I guess that would explain the ongoing tuition hikes at all universities.Comment

I haven't really dug into this particular legal matter but it's the only one that's a nationwide class action and the 10th US Circuit Court gets it at 9:00am MT this morning. This is the case that could clear up eligibility for MJ Collins

Governor Dewine issued an Executive Order making Collins eligible.Last edited by westside bearcat; Today, 07:43 PM.Comment

Dewine’s order says they can play in Ohio. So does that mean,
1. That they can play in home games but not road games?
2. Will the NCAA take this to court? This seems to me to need a state law, which DeWine can’t make on his own.
Honestly, we benefit here, potentially, but I wish politicians would just stay the **** out of it and let NCAA enforce its rules.
What about teams from states that don’t allow this? Could other Big XII teams refuse to play here, similar to the Texas Tech situation with Sorsby? Courts OK’d Sorsby to play while NCAA and Big XII didn’t allow it. It may be that DeWine’s order is meaningless and unenforceable.Last edited by longtimefan; Today, 09:47 PM.Comment

The NCAA has not been able to enforce anything for years. That said, I hate to see each state taking individual actions.Comment
