Michigan has canceled on Maryland. OSU vs Mich might not happen for perfectly legit reasons.

At this point, Ohio state playing Michigan State while a little undermanned isn't a bad thing. Maybe Auburn and Michigan State take some teams ahead of us out of the conversation. We know Fla still plays Bama and ND plays Clemson. I am rooting for Auburn, Michigan State this weekend, and Bama to win out. Then it won't matter who wins Clemson versus ND. Of course, this assumes our Bearcats can play and beat Tulsa twice.

I kinda expected that might be coming. If they don't play a conference championship game and declare ND the winner, then both stay in the top 4 and get in. If they played and Clemson would lose, they are definitely out. A ND loss and I'm not sure if they stay top four but the conference doesn't want to take the chance.

I think the ND-Wake Forest game was removed to give both Clemson and ND the same off week Dec 12th before they play on Dec 19th in ACC Championship. There is still a chance one knocks the other out of CFP.


Too bad there wasn't a Miami versus ND game this year.

Liberty is unable to play at Coastal Carolina because of positive tests. So, guess who just stepped in? BYU will travel to Conway, SC, on short notice to take on the unbeaten Chanticleers. Go, Chants!

I still think we should have tried to get BYU. We could have gotten College Gameday and looked like we were aggressively pursuing the CFP. I think we missed a great opportunity.

You're assuming we could play. I've heard a lot of chatter elsewhere we've had a lot of covid right now. This time off likely helped us from having to cancel

Coastal is pretty darn good. I liken them to Boise though and doubt they can match up with BYU. I hope they win but I think its going to take some extenuating circumstances for that to happen. Good for them to have the balls to step up and make this game happen. BYU was desperate and has more to gain but its a real credibility opportunity for Coastal.

I will be rooting for Coastal Carolina. As to playing BYU, it is a risky extra game. IF for some reason Tulsa gets some COVID issue affecting our Dec 12th game, I'd entertain playing the winner of Coastal Carolina and BYU, but not sure it'd make much sense.

Vandy just canceled on Georgia. Helps us out because UGA is less likely to catch us from behind. If you believe beating a winless team moves the needle
