On the wining drive, FL had LSU stopped & apparently dead in the water. However, a FL player found an LSU player's shoe on the ground, picked it up and launched it about 20 yards downfield. Unsportsmanlike conduct. That gave LSU the new life they needed.

I fully expect we will be #9 on Tuesday as well.

Well thanks to Florida's loss maybe we'll stay at 8 or reclaim 7. Who knows. Let's see if the committee heard all the media yelling at them about Iowa St last week.

I can see Usc climbing up into the picture. I doubt they beat Washington, but i'd love to see an undefeated UC play an undefeated USC in a bowl game.

Well, UC fell to #9. GA jumped them to #8. What's really disappointing is that the College Football Playoff wing of the Southeastern Conference dropped the Gators one lousy spot to #7 after that dud loss to LSU.

Coastal Carolina moved up one spot to #12. Tulsa edged up to #23.

Yep, they are slowly moving us down below a bunch of 2 loss p5 teams so that there's less outrage when we don't get in over their 2-3 loss money bags. They kept florida high so that if bama loses they can stay in the top 4 easier.

Timeout. We didn't realistically think we could make the Playoff this year and our team goal was to beat Memphis or UCF for AAC title. The post season stuff wasn't a good focus because so much is out of our hands. Historically, the Playoff has been an evaluation of the last 5-6 games to SEE which teams have become great teams. They start rankings late to look at games played, not prognostication from last year. They only look at small windows which favors ohio state. It has never been about rewarding full season of reaults, it's about who has come together as a team to get hot at right time. It's like a bubble team with 10 or 11 losses winning conference tourney, then get hot in Big Dance.

If it were about playing season to get idea if who survived, we'd have to be considered. We will get same NY6 game if we were ranked 5, 6, or 11. We are ahead of Coastal Carolina and will stay there when we beat Tulsa.

If BYU had time for one more play, CC would not even be ranked right now. They are good, but like Tulsa, they have won some games that they easily could have lost.
