Man, what an embarrassing second half on offense. That was simply awful playcalling. We beat ourselves and unfortunately will feed the conference perceptions of non-P5 being less than. No way we should have lost today. I believe we converted one third down in the second half? Very few Ridder called runs, just mind boggling. And throwing on 3rd and 2? Can’t believe that was the call. Ridder reverted to bad Ridder-inconsistency has plagued his career unfortunately.

5 if you count Ford's run.

Fickell embarrassed himself in the second half. UC's last drive was a clock management disaster. They snapped the ball twice with something like 15 and 10 seconds still on the play clock...25 seconds. On 3rd and 2 if you run the ball another 25 seconds runs off the clock....total of 50 seconds. GA would have about 50 seconds with no timeouts to go 50 yards. Maybe they do maybe do not the way our Defense was playing...it took them 1:45 or whatever to get in position for the 52 yard field goal. We will never know. How many times will you say we primarily lost a game because our starting OFFENSIVE left tackle got kicked out for TARGETING after the play was over??? Just when you think you've seen it all stick around Cincinnati sports long enough and you will see something new and innovative to lose a game.

Horrible play calling and time management at the end of the game numerous times this year. Almost cost us the UCF game by not taking the TD points, and same thing with a short FG with final game against Tulsa. Whoever is managing the clock for the offense should be fired. Ridder took the snap with 10 seconds left on the play clock, and then throws it???? What were they thinking?

Clearly Georgia with their athleticism and depth can absorb a number of starters out just a bit better than the Bearcats less Wiggins, Doaks, Renfro and Hudson (ejection).

Still, it looked like the Bulldogs were wearing down a bit and dehydrating - Bearcats should not have given up on the run game.

Just want to congratulate the team and staff on a great effort and a great year!

Defintely a Personal Foul. Should not have been an ejection. Frustration penalty by Hudson. Really screwed us over on offense from that point on.

Re: that play , Fickell said post game that they will play to win. I'm ok with that but I think that's one where the staff got overly aggressive and didn't realize the clock situation. Lots of tlittle things lost that game but yes, that call could have been different.

I"m pretty sure UC had called a timeout before the 3rd and 2. The amount of time still on the play clock was irrelevant since the game clock wasn't running. Same thing after Georgia's timeouts.

There are a lot of ways to play to win, but I think the term should be interpreted as giving yourself the best chance to win. In this case, it's running the ball on 3rd and two. Or you could call a quick, high percentage pass, and if it's covered try to run for the first down. You then drain the clock, and the punt itself would take another 8 or 9 seconds off. Running the ball gave us the best chance to win, whether we got the first down or not. So sorry, the Bearcats were playing to lose, and they did.

UGA called timeout before the third down. But that was their third and final timeout. So, had UC run the ball and stayed in bounds, there would have been somewhere between 45-55 seconds when UC punted on fourth down. As it was, there was approximately 1:30 left when UGA got the ball back and they kicked the FG with 7 seconds left. Had they run the ball, it would not have left them enough time to get into FG range. Poor clock management by whom ever is responsible for that aspect.

I agree about running the ball, but that had nothing to do with running a play with 15 seconds on the play clock. The game clock was not moving on time outs

Yeah, people don't realize the clock was already stopped due to UGA having called timeout after first and second downs. It would not have made a difference if there was 20 seconds left on the game clock. Disappointed that poor clock management cost the team a win in the bowl. It was not the only reason for the loss, but despite those other factors that led to the loss, they still had a chance to win, or at least would have significantly improved their chances, had they run the ball on third down.
