Good thing they postponed it. Doesn't look like this situation is completely over in New OrleansOriginally posted by Lobot View Post

Great game. And to think we beat ASU this year.Originally posted by London 'Cat View PostIf you’re not watching the Peach Bowl, you are missing a sensational game. Texas was up by 16 but ASU has come back to tie the game with ~5 minutes remaining. Skattebo is having quite a game.

In order to get back to the top 25, it'll take money, and the AAC doesn't have it. UC is ahead of Houston and UCF, but still far behind the rest of the the Big 12, which is far behind revenue of SEC/B!G.Originally posted by Bearcat Chris View Post
Just a few weeks ago they had three Top 25 teams (Army, Tulane, and Memphis).

With this in mind, you can choose to get behind UC staying with the big boys and improving at this level, or not because going back to the smaller pond isn't either an option, nor is it attractive. The big fish in a small pond analogy no longer works with the revenue of the big pond. We simply have to become a big fish in a big pond, then we can win CFP games, not just get a participation trophy. I want a Natty in the Nati.Last edited by red_n_black_attack; 12-29-2024, 04:03 PM.

That won't last. They have insufficient available funding (maybe Memphis through FedEx) to compete after the results of the House agreement. Here's an espn.com article from today that lays out what they're up against. It isn't going to get any better.Originally posted by Bearcat Chris View Post

Nostalgia doesn't hold water in the world of professional athletics at college campuses.

No thanks on the carcass known as the American Athletic Conference (or any dying G5 league).

No thanks on the carcass known as the American Athletic Conference (or any dying G5 league).Originally posted by Bearcat Chris View PostIt is a lot of fun watching teams that we beat or would have beaten play in bowl games, while we sit home in poor season oblivion. Miami easily beat Colorado State in a rather well attended "Snoop Dog/Arizona Bowl"..... Give CSS one more year, and reconsider going back to the AAC. So the Big 12 gives UC more money? What good is that if you miss out on the fun of a solid winning season. Remember, I was against the move to the Big 12 at the beginning. I am not trying to "troll here"..... just frustrated that 3 years ago we were in the top 4 in the country, and now we are rated 83rd.
