Somewhat self promotional but this got out there beyond the UC community on Twitter which is a good thing for recruits to see.

There an announcement and press conference today with Cincy Reigns and Rhinegeist Brewing. They've formed a partnership of some sort and the details will come about 2:00 today, if I have the time right.

Arch Manning will not accept any NIL deals until he is a star. Some are applauding him for his stance others are criticizing him because he does not need the NIL deal.

Article mentions Dan Skillings among the UC athletes with individual NIL opportunities with Medpace. Also saw video of him this weekend promoting Fifth Third. Good to see him getting legit NIL deals.

When will it come to a head? Everyone knows about it and nobody is doing anything about it. NIL, transfer portal, extra year? The best line is that the college team Houston Cougars had a starting five older than the NBA Houston Rockets starting five. As Final Four closes, basketball on unpredictable ground - Newsday

This may or may not be paywalled but looks like the NCAA has new NIL rules, if they can enforce any of them without getting sued repeatedly. Sounds like they're basically waiting for congress to jump in and bail them out. (~$)

While the NCAA cannot enforce current rules, either fir fear or litigation or a need to penalize 88% of schools with Death Penalty, the NCAA can do two things to hold member institutions in check. One, require student athletes to use an NCAA certified/approved agent. Second give a stop dead date that NIL deals cannot be linked to pay-4-play.

The NCAA has authority to validate student athletes eligibility and govern NIL under this asoect of rules to keep players eligible while promoting abikity to capitalize on NIL. Further, the NCAA can penalize students, coaches, schools, and/or boosters that create pay-4-play incentives and take away some arguments that athletes are university employees.
