It seems like there may be a hazing issue with Northwestern. Could this be a reason for the BIG to kick them out? The coach has been suspended. Ex-Northwestern player details 'vile and inhumane' hazing allegations within program (yahoo.com)

This is pretty bad. NU has gone radio silent on this. I saw someone referring to this as Bayloring. Fitzgerald participated in this mess and if he's back in two weeks people will riot (not literally).

I feel fortunate that UC has not run into the level of scandals that seems to live in the B1G. Between Penn St, MSU, UM, OSU and now NU you have to wonder what is going on with that conference.

CliftonAve on Twitter just pointed out that Armon Binns is the WR coach at NU.

I hope that Armon gets out of there quickly. This does not look good for their team. Report: Ex-Northwestern Player Details Disturbing Hazing Allegations After Coach’s Suspension (msn.com)

Northwestern’s “entire team” released a statement pushing back against the allegations of hazing, which they called “exaggerated and twisted.” They also said coach Pat Fitzgerald had no knowledge or involvement in the allegations.

The team letter is a bit suspect at best. It basically says nothing happened but if it did happen, Fitzgerald didn't know about what didn't happen.

Someone might want to tell Fitzgerald what happened to Joe Pa when he knew nothing about what was going on in Happy Valley.

They won't kick Northwestern out. They have too much tradition and they like the academic standing that goes with Northwestern. Plus Northwestern has had enough success at times to keep them interesting.

At the risk of being deleted from the thread I'll just say what one person describes as inappropriate another may very well call non traditional male bonding.

Eight former NU have hired Ben Crump as an attorney. Crump is a civil rights lawyer.

This might get messy if you’re still keeping score here.

Well, when the great college realignment begins in 2030's, this may be a reason to leave NU with the have nots. When the NFL model is set and the money speaks, the landscape will look a whole lot different. I just hope that the Bearcats find a seat at the table.
